Cute little car but the hand controls definitely don't work right, sad cause I think it would be a fun little toy, the regular remote is fine but I bought it for the hand remote, I haven't asked for a refund cause i don't want to go through the return hassle so I don't know how they would respond. It was smaller then I expected though so make sure u look at the measurements

This little RC car is a joy to play with, it's well made, responsive, fast, and versatile. The controller feels a bit cheap, made of lightweight plastic and barely held together, I'm not sure it would stand up to a child's abuse but so far it works well. The hand gesture remote feels slightly better made and works well as long as you have it oriented properly on your hand. The adjustable strap allows both large and small hands to use it. The drift controls take some getting used to, the car doesn't turn left or right like a normal car, the wheels turn in opposite rotation from each other to "drift" the whole car left or right, also called "crab walk" by some actual car manufacturers, think of it as being able to parallel park in one lateral motion. It's awesome and children will enjoy the learning curve. It has two modes, flat like a regular car or raised suspension like a monster truck for off-roading. The car switches easily between modes with a cool twisting action and this also allows for the car to climb stairs and flip upside down and never get stuck, as it can switch back into flat mode to move, or drive up a wall to flip itself back over. There's also commands for a 360 spin to get out of tight spaces. Lastly there's a button for a demonstration mode which is fun to watch. The wheels light up and the music that plays when you turn it on may be fun for children but as an adult it's kind of annoying, thankfully you can turn it off and just drive the car. My one quibble is the decision to use so many different types of batteries for this toy. The car requires a proprietary rechargeable battery which is about AA in size but not quite, and is has an attached cord to plug into a USB charging cable. Two are included. Next, the remote control requires 2AA batteries. These are not included although it does work if you have your own rechargeable. Lastly the hand gesture remote requires two AAA batteries, again these are not included although does work with your own rechargeable. So in order to play with this toy you need to have three different types of battery on hand. Why? It would have been better to just use AA for all, or have the remotes use a built in battery rechargeable by USB or something. Having to source AA and AAA batteries in addition to charging the included car battery is a bit annoying and preventative from a child enjoying this right out of the box.

This was a birthday gift for my 8 year old grandson. He said it was the best gift he received that day. That made my heart smile❤️ I chose it because he's into drones and remote control helicopters and things of that sort. He was also blown away by the gesture sensing remote. That will take some getting used to, but he's up for the challenge. The stunts are exciting and the double sided driving feature keeps the fun going. This is a well crafted toy. A good choice.

Rc car works great, the left joystick only does forward and back, right joystick only does left and right. The motion controller is very responsive and seems to have a programmed motion that allows to change modes. Takes a minute to get used to but it's really fun once you do. To turn the music off, tap the right shoulder button on the main controller until the music stops. (Has 2 music modes and an off mode.)
