My gas grill gets up to 700 degrees. Which is perfect for searing steak but not so great on my hands when I use shorter tongs. These tongs reach all the way to the back of the grill without my hand being over the heat. They fit in my pull out drawer in my kitchen which I believe are standard depth. But if you get tongs longer than this, they will not fit.

Recieved this a few days ago and got the first opportunity to use it today. My initial impression upon unboxing it: First, it was well packaged and arrived in good shape, quickly. Upon removing from the packaging, I was kind of surprised by the quality feel of it. It didn't have the strength in the metal that I was expecting. I had a much better quality set (still have it) that I got from Williams Sonoma over 10 years ago. I was expecting that level of quality or at least close and it just didn't have it. I am not sure that the William Sonoma ones are of the same quality they used to be anymore, so this may be on par with the current ones. Even though I was expecting better quality, I do not mean to imply that they are poor quality, just that the quality didn't blow me away. They are definitely better than what you are likely to get at a major retailer for similar price. That aside, they worked well and are quite long, which is nice in keeping your hands safely away from the high heat of the grill. I normally wear grilling heat gloves, but didn't have to with these. The tongs have great grip and had no problem handling the large steak (2.5 pounds) that I was using them to turn and remove. The locking slide works well. I wish they were US made, but they are not. Overall, they are decent and probably a fair price. I love the fact that this is a small company and I would absolutely buy from them again.

I bought these tongs for my husband to use in his pizza oven. He needed tongs that were a bit longer. These are 24" and are very well made. They are heavy-duty and sturdy. The handles have a textured silicone grip that adds comfort and gives added stability when picking up hot things. The tongs lock closed for easy storage. They are made of stainless steel so they aren't going to rust if left outside at the grill. Very impressed.
