Works well and looks great. Even with the small clumps that are not very noticeable. However would have preferred a perfect job wiping any clumps. (Maybe I just didn’t mix mine enough or let it dry too short between coats)

So far, I have one coat of this Black Frosted Glass Paint on our remaining glass shower door. We have a 1970’s house with a giant shower in the master bath and the shower doors are special order. We still have the original doors - okay, we have one of the original doors - I tried to take one of them apart to clean it and it just didn’t go at all like I planned, and finding new doors that fit that don’t cost a ridiculous amount is impossible. So we have one door which is fine, we never really needed 2 - it is a step down into it shower about a foot below the bottom of the shower door. My intention is to cover enough of the door so that only heads and maybe shoulders are visible. The trim around the shower door is gold, and all of our “refresh” fixtures are matte black, so this color of frosted paint matches well. It is very easy to roll on and the paint supplies needed are included in the box (roller and brush). I cleaned the shower door previously with a razor blade scraper to remove any hard water deposits and any other debris from the past 40 years, and then I sprayed it with 70% alcohol to remove any oil or other substances that would keep the paint from sticking to the door. I actually did the alcohol cleaning several times to be sure I got everything I could off the door. So far, this is looking pretty good and is opaque like the “1 coat” shows in the listing. I wondered because I tend to be an over-painter (and an over-caulker, etc.) and wasn’t sure I could get this applied evenly, but it is pretty forgiving paint. I’m liking it! Once it has been up for a bit, if my rating needs to change, I’ll revisit this review.

It’s nice that this comes as a kit with everything that you need. The quality of the supplies is low, but for a one-time job they were sufficient. The paint had spilled somewhat during shipping into the plastic wrap, so it was contained and didn’t make a mess, but was a little annoying. Application wasn’t the easiest, because it required adding a hardener. They said you can pour off a small amount of paint and add the respective amount of hardener (guessing the amount I suppose) if you don’t need to use the whole can of paint. Otherwise what you don’t use will be wasted. The finished appearance wasn’t as even as I had hoped, at least on the one side. The other side of the glass essentially turned into a dark mirror, which I liked a lot. (I used this to black out the glass in an old china cabinet.) At $35 for a half-gallon, I probably would give “normal” paint a try first if I were to do it again.
