  • Excellent value
This is a formidable blues instrument. I had to lower the action considerably but previous reviews warned about that. It produces amazing volume. Brass body produces perfect blues sound.

  • Very satisfied
The Honey Dipper G9201 is highly rated in countless resonator guitar reviews., so I decided to go for it. This guitar is amazing! The tone is awesome, and the guitar plays like a dream. The build is solid - no flaws - perfect in every way. I have played guitar for 50 years and own many fine instruments. This guitar stands out as one of the best I own. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. A+ ... show more

  • Love my Honey Dipper Guitar
We Love our NEW Honey dipper guitar and wish we gotten this year's ago. Its so awesome it's hard to put it down. Has an amazing sound and we ordered the 3 slide pick kit, and guitar case with it. Such a killer deal for the 3 items under $900 for all of them. Can't wait to play it again asap, after this review. You should get one Aloha ... show more

  • Tone is different
I didn’t care for sound from the strings so I changed to flat wound 12-53. Now I like it. Also good to build muscle, (it’s heavy) all in all it has that Delta Blues sound which is why I bought it. Happy now.

  • Beautifully made
I purchased this guitar after about a month at looking at resonator guitars. I wanted that deep swamp sound, and this thing delivers. I play mostly slide on it, and the tone is beautiful. I added a 12 Bar Blues Pickup to complete the set up.

  • Could not put it down.
The honey dipper was set up well, but since I don’t play slide, I flattened out the neck using the truss rod. The thing has a voice that requires listening to - it can be played quietly, but it does have a big voice. The action it’s really pretty nice. I might want to get some “flat top“ strings to quiet down the “sawing” sound of the fingers sliding down the wound strings that is amplified by the resonator. Overall, as a finger picker, it will require some focus to learn how to best utilize it’s voice effectively. It’s a fun tool.. ... show more
