  • Great product. Here are the dimentions.
Color: a-black
It's exactly what it says it is. Works great and parts all seem adequate for what you're paying. Now, for the dimentions. Couldn't find them anywhere and it would have been nice to know. Measuring straight with a tape, the bar is about 12" long. It measures just a hair over and inch wide. The steel is 4mm thick (about 3/16ths), and the center slot is 8.2mm wide (5/16ths). As with other posts I read, I recommend using a larger washer between the bar and you nut to keep it from spreading when you torque it down. So far, it has performed better than expected. I will try to update when some time has passed. Hope this helps! ... show more

  • Big improvement
Color: a-black
First off, the hardware is low quality. That being said, once I replaced the main bolt on the wheel and some nuts that stripped out this tensioner is much better than the one that came with my kit. With minor mods I feel comfortable and safe twisting the throttle. Well worth the peace of mind.

  • Nice design sturdy mount
Color: a-black
This will allow you unlimited range for adjustment. It has almost zero chance of twisting into the spokes like the cheap single point mounting stock ones. It installed in moment and not one issue yet over 400 miles later it shows no wear because its easily aligned. I only used one of the wheels as that's actually all that's required and it works flawlessly. I saved the 2nd wheel in my travel repair kit on my bike for an emergency. I will be adding this to every engine install I do as a must have item its just so much safer and stronger. Do yourself a huge favor and get one. ... show more

  • longer pulley axle leads to more stress on device
Color: silver
The standard chain tensioner hardware is centered on the bike frame tube, allowing the pulley to be mounted with a short axle. This chain tensioner mounts on the outside of the frame tube - half a centimeter further, leading to a pulley axle that is longer than the original. This longer axle for the pulley is more wobbly and experiences more stress. We tried it on 2 different huffy's and went back to the original standard chain tensioner. ... show more

  • Design on point, quality not the worst
Color: a-black
So is everyone can be sure the chain tensioner is the most important most dangerous part of these vehicles upgrading to this chain. Tensioner was a immediate must when I got my second motorized bike up and running. Because of it being such a safety concern that I had to buy an upgrading part, I did expect to have much better hardware than I received for this. Upon putting on the nuts to the u-bolt I managed to strip one side on boat with my bare hands being a mechanic. I am a incredibly self-aware person when it comes to putting a boat on a nut. You always thread it on entirely by hand and then tighten or tort it down with a wrench carefully. Not only do these bolts not seem to have the capacity to handle the torque value that they should at their size. They don't seem to be able to handle much of anything. My solution? I have a tube of chemical compound The solidifies making two cases of metal practically a single solid object. The name is falling off the tube, but it's a product very similar to JB weld that is actually produced by the loctite company. I applied pressure and sent one bolt just as far down onto the mutilated threads as possible. Added the chemical compound then rethread it a second nut. I don't expect everyone to have this stuff and I'm not even sure if you can buy it in a store. I managed to get my hands on it from it being gifted to me at work to help me do my job five years ago at a place I'm no longer employed. It happened to still be in my toolbox. When I left the place it had only been half used If the threads are going to shear off while you're flying down the road then this thing is extremely dangerous. I would not have somebody by this for a child to put on their bike even if they think that their child is gifted at building things. But for what it is worth, as good as the quality is for the actual bar itself, the quality of the bearings and the wheels is very good quality it's just the one single problem with the bolts. Even then, if you know what you're doing and you're careful, or if you decide to go to Lowe's and buy something different, you can very easily get some u-bolts from Lowe's for a couple of dollars to make the safer, which is what I intend to do later on in the week when I get paid again. Ironically and almost somewhat sarcastically. If you were determined to only buy high quality products, this is a design that you could replicate at your house if you were heavily mechanically inclined to do so. But for the quality of what you're getting and for the price of what you're getting it just go ahead and buy the product. As long as you understand you're probably going to face some issues with the bolts ... show more
