These are hand-me-down generational quality toys! These Green Toys are absolutely the best, hands down! What's not to love? The minute you recieve one you realize the substantial and durable quality of them. They are easy to clean and I literally can not fathom any saftey hazards whatsoever with these toys (other than if the are used as a projectile, but that is the case with most toys that are not fabric, so obviously if there is a baby in the bunch with some older toddlers or so, you should still have your eyes on the kids). I love that they are all dishwasher safe for sterilizing. We have decided to keep all the Green Toys in a toy box in our main livingroom for 2 reasons. When we have company with children or playmates visiting, they can all just dive into these toys and we don't have the aggravation of my grandson's other toys being dragged out with multiple pieces, and those are not all small child safe, and we can not just throw them in the dishwasher afterwards as we can these. These are literally worry free toys when children are visiting (other than the aforementioned throwing, or maybe banging over the head, so yes you still must parent as we should be anyway). Second, after dinner, when there is just a small window of time for bath and playtime before bed, these are hassle free and the only toys we let him drag out because they are simple and easy pickup. BONUS, they are MADE IN THE USA, and of completely recycled materials. I have not seen that many quality toys like these other than ones made in the 1940's or so, where good craftsmanship (as these are) mattered, even in a toy. We have at least 2 dozen of these toys and they have become an awesome gift item especially when they go on sale, which is often. They are literally the PERFECT toys! ... show more

Well made as with green toys. Grandson loved it. However I was surprised when started banging his other birthday toys with the hammer. That’s a 4 year old! He is excited to help dad around the house.

    • Amazing open-ended toy
This is probably our third set. I have run a home daycare for 10 years now and Green Toys toys have always made an appearance. This tool box is a staple. Over the years, our original pink set was left outside too many times and the smaller pieces surely grew legs and walked away. We had our first hammer for about 7 years before it, too, disappeared. I was lucky enough to get our second and third set at a thrift store and children's consignment for next to brand new. I loved the way each piece was labeled with what it is and how sturdy each piece is. However the toolbox sides aren't completely straight, perhaps due to them being made of less thick plastic than all the other parts.

I babysit toddlers. Rough and tumble BOY toddlers. 4 of them at a time, sometimes! Yes, I am crazy...I know this. Let me tell you something - every single one of these boys freaking LOVE this toy. And I will be buying a 2nd one, because they can't all play with the 1 toolbox! It is ridiculously durable. The plastic is fantastic quality. Each tool has what it is WRITTEN on it (Hello, let's learn!). The tools and pieces are all easy for small hands to use SAFELY. None of it is a choking hazard. This toolbox is GENIUS. I wasn't sold when it first came, but I will never buy another flimsy, hollow tool set again! The kids I watch are 20 months, a set of twins that are almost 3, and an almost 4-year old. My two year old grandson is very mechanical. He wants to see how things are put together and how to take them apart. This toy fits the bill. The nails can be hammered and removed and used over again. The nuts and bolts are easy for his little hands to work and he loves it. Now he can help his Daddy when there's work to be done. I love Green Toys especially!! They are recycled and are recyclable. This is a great toy set. Got it for my two year old and he plays with it every single day. His imagination is blossoming as he discovers new ways to pretend with his tools.
