I was very skeptical about this product. I've heard claims like this made before without a veil when my washer was installed in my home. They did not install the drain appropriately. My drain is an angled pipe instead of a straight pipe and I have pets so it gets clogged very easily. Since purchasing this product I have had zero issues with my drain backing up. It cleans the washer very well and gets rid of odors too. It's a breeze to use! The instructions say that it leaves a residue and you have to wipe it out after each use, but I haven't really noticed anything when I do. It consistently works to effectively clean out my washer and drain pipe. I am so happy with this product. I will continue to use it in the future. ... show more

I use one of these in my front load washer every couple of months. Assume they work cause I have had no issues. Nothing stinks but I leave the door open when the cycle is thru. So I can't swear to it but the washer is almost 10 years old & works just fine, and the manufacturer recommended using a cleaner. I picked this & it seems okay. I do use Aunt Nellie's Laundry Soda & no fabric softeners, just dryer balls. ... show more

If I could give it 50 stars I would. I moved into a new house and put this through the washer and it cleaned out SO much mold and debris, like literal handfuls at the bottom once it was done. Ran one more round just to be sure and it was spit shine clean. Green gobbler has a customer for life now.

This washing machine cleaner works very well for front loading washing machines. It comes in a cardboard container showing a cleaner tablet for each month of a year.     • Third time - with bleach was a charm

I have a G.E. Stackable unit - well known for mildew smells that are nearly impossible to remove. I used as directed on the super load setting with hot water and 1 tablet. The smell was better, but remained. I thought maybe the super load diluted the Green Gobbler tab too much, so I ran another load (large, hot water again) and this time allowed it to sit overnight in the tub after it had been agitating for 10 minutes. I finished the cycle in the morning, and the mildew/ mold smell was worse than it’s ever been. I again set the machine to Super load, filled with hot water, 2 Green Gobbler tabs and 1.5 cups of pool bleach chlorinating liquid, which is extremely concentrated bleach. I ran the agitation cycle for 10 minutes and then allowed it to sit in the tub for 4 hours. I then resumed the cycle and allowed it to complete. That was yesterday morning, and 2 loads of laundry have been run through the machine. So far no odors. As it required concentrated bleach to clear the smell, I can’t say that these tablets on their own are going to be strong enough to eliminate the odor, and therefore can’t give them 5 stars. I’m frankly surprised at the results, because the reviews were so great, and I’ve had luck with Green Gobbler products in the past. ... show more
