Packaging was very protective and prevented any shock damage to the scale. Extension for the baby is very sturdy and securely attached to and easily detachable from the scale. I feel it wont break easily. It gives you weight in kilograms, pounds with decimal or Pounds and ounces. You can zero it out if baby has clothes on or if baby's on a blanket so you can get a very accurate naked baby weight. The thing I'm really pleased with is the app. It tracks weight and you can input baby length. It gives you a percentile range as baby grows so you can have a reference for how your baby is growing. And to top it all off, batteries were included. Overall I'm very happy with the quality of this product, and I'm going to look for this brand when I'm buying other things for my child. I look forward to reviewing more products from Greater goods.

I purchased this scale to keep track of the weights of a few of my cats -- two are overweight and one is old and losing weight. I'm not even sure where to start or what awesome feature to start with, so here's a list of things I love: *This scale is quick and easy to assemble. Once you understand how the pieces fit together, it takes less than a minute to remove the parts from the box and get the scale ready. It's so simple that I store everything as it all arrived in the box, with the protective wrapping on each part even. This makes for easy storage and will keep the parts in new condition. *It connects to your phone via Bluetooth!!!! All you need to do is download the app, set up an account, and add your kids' or pets' names. Then when it's weighing time, you just turn on the scale and the Bluetooth on your phone and the devices connect! You then choose a name and get to weighing. The weight is automatically sent to your phone within seconds! Then you can choose whether to save the weight are try again (in case whoever you weighed was wiggly). *Regarding wiggling... even if there's movement on the scale, the weight is still pretty accurate. I've taken several weights in a row for the same subject due to wiggling, and the weight is never off by much. Weights can be deleted or added manually. *MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS SCALE is that the app creates a graph to show the progression of weight gain/loss over time. The graph view can be changed to show all registered weights or weights over the course of 1 week or 1 month. *For people who want to use this scale to track the weight of infants, the app lets you enter date of birth, gender, and birth weight & length. It also shows weight percentiles. *Once a child can stand, the scale can be used without the tray. If you're looking for a scale to track the weight of an infant or an animal, I highly recommend this one. The only downside I can think of at this time is that the weight limit is 66 lbs., which isn't a big deal for me since I'm using it to weigh cats. Maybe the company could consider making one for heavier people/animals whose weights need to be tracked. Overall, though, this is a wonderfully useful product.

*Update* After additional experimentation, I discovered that the issue with the unit of measure spontaneously changing was only experienced when it was connected to the iPhone app via bluetooth. When I disconnected the app, the scale works flawlessly. I'm updating to 4 stars, since the scale functionality is just fine, but not 5 stars, since I find it annoying to use the app when it keeps changing the unit of measure. I've left the below review unchanged. Previously: Despite the scale doing the critical thing well (producing accurate weight measurements), I have to rate this as only three stars, since it consistently spontaneously changes the unit of measure, which is annoying and wastes time. On the positive side, we use this scale to weigh our weight-challenged 5 month old on a daily basis. Several times we've compared the scale's reading with the reading we get from the doctor's office and it's always been really close. Even with a wiggling baby, the measurements only vary by plus or minus 0.3 ounces with consecutive measurements. This level of accuracy is great for daily weigh-ins, but probably not as much for trying to determine feeding volume. That said, if I only had this to use for feeding volumes, it helps to give you a ballpark idea. You'll be able to tell if she/he drank 2 ounces vs. 3 ounces vs. 4 ounces. But you probably wouldn't have too much confidence if you need to differentiate between 4 and 4.5 ounces. That said, just about every time I use the scale, it automatically switches to a different unit of measure, sometimes after I've already placed my baby on the scale. It's annoying, and a quality defect that would give me pause from heartily recommending this, since I don't have confidence that this product will continue to perform before other issues start cropping up.
