Keep it cool
This high temperature silicone handle cover works great. Provides a non slip grip on cast iron cookware. It should even survive in the oven (I haven't tried that yet). It certainly protects your hands, that was our main reason for getting them. If your hands are sensitive to heat and rough texture of some cookware, you'll appreciate these.

Perfect Ergonomic Fit for Cast Iron, Though Heat Still Creeps Through

I picked this up to get a safer, more comfortable grip on my heavy cast-iron skillets during high-heat cooking sessions. Cast iron handles are notoriously awkward and hot, so having a dedicated silicone handle holder that actually fits properly—without slipping or twisting while maneuvering a heavy pan—was my primary goal. Real-World Details & Performance Right out of the package, the fit and ergonomics really stood out. It slides onto the skillet handle smoothly and fits like a glove—no excessive play or annoying looseness when lifting or rotating a full pan. In terms of comfort, the texture and contour feel great in the hand, providing a solid, confident grip that makes handling heavy cookware much easier. The only downside I’ve encountered is the heat transfer over extended use. While it definitely delays the heat and keeps you from burning yourself outright, I expected it to block high temperatures a bit more effectively than it does. If the skillet stays over heat for a while, you’ll definitely feel warmth working its way through the material to your palm. That said, for general stove-to-table transfers and quick adjustments, it performs well enough that I’d still easily buy it again. Pros & Cons Pros: Tailored Fit: Fits the skillet handle snugly without twisting or sliding during use. Ergonomic & Comfortable: Feels secure and easy to grip, even when maneuvering heavy cookware. Great Overall Value: Delivers solid quality and functional reliability for everyday kitchen tasks. Cons: Noticeable Heat Transfer: Thermal insulation could be stronger; heat gradually creeps through during longer cooking sessions. Final Verdict If you’re looking for a comfortable, snug-fitting handle cover that eliminates the awkwardness of gripping bare cast iron, this is a great addition to your kitchen toolkit. Just be aware that for prolonged high-heat cooking, you may still feel a bit of heat come through. Highly recommended for everyday stove-top use, and I would definitely buy it again!

Terrible quality. It’s made from a cheap material which melted on the first use. Additionally, the sides have slits in them that make it thin and will burn your hand.

Impressive
Out of the box, or more accurately the bag, I was immediately impressed. They are about twice as thick as the silicone Lodge handles they are replacing. They don’t fit as tight, but by no means are they loose. Very soft and feels good in hand. I’ll update this after more use but, for now, I really like these - especially for the price. Another winner from GG.
