These crates are really well made. I was thinking they might be a bit broken, with tons of splinters and rusty fastenings, but they look (and feel) great. Zero splinters! They are made of sturdy wood, not some crapola split old pieces and I think they can stand up to some of my heavier art supplies. Also, they are not see through, but you can see what you have through the slats, oddly I hadn't considered that when picking them.

The wood is nice but the screws are not biting into the pilot holes so I'm not able to assemble them. They includes a nice enough screw driver but even with my small hands, I can't drive the screw in directly perpendicular. The screw ends up being driven in crooked which risks splitting the wood. It should have been designed with an offset screwdriver or with star head screws so I could use an old allen wrench from ikea or something. The crates are cute and would be a great size for storing a few pantry items I wanted to use them for but until i can buy different screws or find the right screwdriver, I won't be able to put them together.

The WUERMU Wooden Crates are Used for storage, Milk crates are unfinished wooden crates. The unfinished part isn't too terrible; they are sanded fairly smoothly. However. Putting them together, we discovered that two of the sides didn't match. One-half of one crate had handles, and the other side didn't. So it will be impossible to easily lift that crate. Also, there was a large nail just...sticking out of the side of a crate. We had to hammer it down in order to screw the sides together. Luckily, the sharp part of the nail ended up being placed under a corner of the crate, so that it was invisible. No one would get jabbed or hurt. However, it did not instill great confidence in this crate! I wish these had been a bit better. They don't look terrible when built. I am painting them currently, and then sealing them. They look better when sealed/painted. The slightly rough edges of the wood are covered up and I don't need to worry about splinters. But these do have some serious issues as they are.

LOVE THESE HIGH END RUSTIC FARMHOUSE STYLE WOODEN BOXES. THEY WERE EASY TO ASSEMBLE. MAKE SURE THAT YOU FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY AND LOOK CLOSELY AT THE DIAGRAMS. NO ROOM FOR ERRORS AND NO SPARE SCREWS. LIGHT WEIGHT AND STURDY.
