Purchased both this tool and the "Back Saver" Grampa's Weeder. The Back Saver is amazing (review already left) - and I just got a chance to use the Hand Weeder today. I have to say, I'm very impressed with this weeder as well. Not quite as much so as I was with the Back Saver, but it gets the up close and personal jobs done well, especially with smaller weeds, or non Dandelion type weeds. The half moon shaped bottom gives one the "fulcrum" to really yank out the weeds, without digging a huge hole everytime. It's not perfect, but it's very well made, and I'd say about 70% of the weeds I tackled with this were successfully extracted without needing to dig excessively around the weed. Still an A+, 5 Star purchase overall and it will be used as my main go to hand weeder.

Wow, this exceeded my expectations the first time I used it! I have the hateful vines pictured that have bulboutls roots that make them resistant to pulling up. This tool gets them up in one try! I have many seedling trees attached to the nuts the squirrels buried, and this pulls the entire thing up. I can't speak to how long this will last, but I'll buy another when it bites the dust.

I bought this little tool, not thinking much about it because I’m not a real big gardener. Let me tell you this thing is magical. It not only gets the weeds out from the root with ease, it’s actually a lot of fun to use and very satisfying to pull those nasty weeds out of my lawn! This tool is very well made. It’s nice and sturdy and feels like it’s gonna last a long time.

Easy to remove certain type of weeds. Its size is perfect to use, and easy to use. But only certain type of weeds can be removed. So overall 4 stars

Works fine but this metal piece around the handle has slipped loose. I keep putting it back but it continues to slide off and then my finger gets sliced from it. This has happened twice. Two deep cuts on the thumb. I may try something to keep it in place or buy something new.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!! Up until now I have been using a stainless steel serrated knife to dig out all my weeds and this is SO MUCH SIMPLER! They just pop out root and ALL, even when the ground is dry! My lawn isn't very large in the front and I didn't even bother this year with any Sherrill because the Gas Company was going to be running new lines to our house (along with ALL THE HOUSES IN OUR AREA), so I couldn't see spending a lot of $ like I normally you if they were going to be digging it all up anyway!! They DID reseed it, but I had weeds popping up EVERYWHERE!! And with new seed down I didn't want to use weed killer! It ALSO works very well for the rest of the yard and flower garden! I transferred quite a few flowers to different areas without having to do any major disruption in the existing beds! GREAT 👍 TOOL TO ADD!
