Nice matte finish, thick fabric. Looks like it runs a bit small, but I haven't put it on my senior yet. I ordered a M (5'6" to 5'8") but definitely leans toward the shorter range of this scale. Very happy with this purchase.

I had to order this on Amazon so I'd have it in time for gradution because another company supplying them for school messed up the orders. I got the navy blue matte fabric, so it's not shiny. I'm not sure it's true navy, but it's still a very dark blue and it looks great. The material isn't flimsy, it's well-structured. The set came nicely folded with just a few wrinkles in the gown. I ironed it inside out on a low setting and it's perfect. Great quality at a reasonable price.

I'm 5'5 and 180 pounds. I ordered both size 48 and size 51 gowns since some reviews mentioned this regalia runs short. The size 51 was too large for me (length wise), but the 48 fits well, even though it arrived with what seems like a deodorant stain and some frayed threads. It’s likely been used. I'm not too worried about that though; it'll serve its purpose. The cap for the 48 was also slightly bent. Luckily, both gowns came with the correct 2024 tassels, as I've heard some people received the wrong year. SN: Because I'm wearing a black shirt beneath the size 51, the "v neck" of the gown isn't as noticeable as when I was pictured in the size 48.

This robe is good quality. It is not sheer. It comes very winkled and took quite some time to iron it. The mortar was slightly bent on two corners, but it was not deformed. It arrived with two years to choose from for the tassel. The cap matched the robe perfectly. I ordered black. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Totally worth getting. The material is heavy enough to not look sheer at all, but still light enough to not feel too heavy or hot while wearing - even in Florida. NOTE: You MUST plan on ironing the gown in advance! Simply taking it out of the packaging and letting it hang - even for months as I did - will NOT get wrinkles out. Either take it to be ironed professionally or do so at home. IRONING: I just used a light misting of water (no starch, didn't want white flakes on the dark robe for pictures!) and a hot iron. Keep the iron moving, of course. I also used a thin tea towel as a buffer at first, just in case. I ended up not needing the tea towel, though. And.... those who had their gown ironed looked so polished! Those who did not iron... the wrinkles were noticeable in pictures, from on stage, etc. I felt so bad for the moms - they were upset at themselves for not thinking about / forgetting to iron it. OH! And I even --carefully-- ironed the wrinkles out of the cap! My daughter laughed at me, then was like - that actually looks a lot better... MomWin! TIP: You can buy garment bags on Amazon - a set of 10 black bags (with an ID Pocket and a clear window area to see a little of the garment) was only $30 total. That's only $3 per student for such a nice addition! Super cheap BUT not at all cheap looking! TIP: Add a hanger for the gown/cap (the cap has a loop you can use to loop onto the neck of the hanger!), a hanger for stoles/cords, and then a simple name tag with the grad's name on and slip that into the ID pocket of the garment bag.... and VOILA! For about $5 extra per student you have a fabulous presentation of all the graduation regalia AND great storage for it all, too. The Cap/Gown/Tassel arrived on time (very quickly), as did the other items, too. Think ahead, Graduation Committees! Order these WAY in advance (like DECEMBER for a May graduation) so you can order all that you need with no worries of shipment delays or back ordered issues (which happened to a few of us and we ordered in February!). All you need is the student's height to order the gown. Then, if you want, just add ~$5.00 to the Grad regalia costs to go towards the $3 garment bags from Amazon (tons to pick from) and $2 for a hanger or two (from Amazon, too.). We also got our honor stoles from Amazon - gold/yellow satin - which ended up being only $3 each, too. HUGE savings, especially for smaller private schools, homeschool co-ops. Just ask parents for their student's height and $25-$30 in the Fall to order ALL you need way in advance. Believe me, you will be so grateful to have done this the Fall/before Christmas Break come Feb/March!
