It is extremely feminine in an understated way - modest, but elegant, I'm tempted to say. The elastic waist is fully effective without being at all tight. This skirt is just so, so pretty. But it was way too small in the waist. I can tell sizing up would just make me look use in the hips and thighs (I'm a very pear shape), so I'll have to pass on this one. I think this would be extremely flattering for someone more top heavy!

I bought a XL and according to some reviews, the skirt ran on the smaller side. I think I could have worn a large and been very comfortable. The skirt looked great for the wedding I wore it to.
