After installation, the roll cage is proportionally well-matched to the vehicle body, neither appearing too small nor overly exaggerated. Its lines complement the pickup truck's overall shape, giving the rear a more powerful look. The drill-free design was a key reason for my choice; it eliminates the need for permanent drilling into the original cargo box, reducing installation errors and the hassle of future restoration. The main fasteners are installed using the existing cargo box structure or T-slots. After proper adjustment and tightening, the overall structure is quite stable, with no noticeable looseness when shaken by hand, and no persistent metallic rattling on normal city roads or bumpy surfaces. However, before installation, it's crucial to ensure that the cargo box cover's sliding rails, opening direction, and roll cage base do not interfere with each other. A complete trial installation is recommended before final tightening. The entire installation process requires no welding or drilling, but due to the roll cage's size and weight, it's best to have two people working together: one to support and adjust its position, and the other to install the connectors. This ensures symmetry and prevents the steel frame from slipping and scratching the vehicle body. During installation, I first gently tightened all the bolts, repeatedly measuring the distances between the roll cage and the cab, the edge of the cargo box, and the cargo box cover. After confirming that the overall structure was centered, I tightened them step by step in sequence, resulting in a neat final appearance. It also provides installation guidelines for adding compatible auxiliary lights or other lightweight accessories in the future. However, the weight and fixing method of any accessory must be handled according to product requirements; a decorative roll cage cannot be used as a shelf with unlimited load-bearing capacity. The installation instructions are quite basic. If clearer diagrams, installation directions, and torque references were provided for different brands and T-slot cargo box covers, the entire process would be much easier. After the roll cage is installed, it will increase wind resistance, potentially producing more noticeable wind noise at high speeds. The degree of noise will also be affected by the accessories and installation location. The black surface looks very textured, but long-term exposure to rain, mud, and road salt can cause scratches from tools or branches to rust. I regularly check welds, bolt holes, and coating edges, and promptly touch up any exposed metal with paint for protection. After driving for a while, I re-inspected all the fixing bolts and connections, and found no looseness, obvious deformation, or abnormal wear. Overall, the GR01 roll cage's structure, appearance, drill-free installation, and T-slot cargo box cover compatibility are quite practical, bringing a significant off-road style upgrade to many full-size pickup trucks.

Had to install with no instructions (not in box?) I installed by viewing completed pictures on Amazon. Just unsure if I installed the fasteners in the correct locations as different length fasteners had the same thread.

This roll bar setup gives a full-size pickup a rugged, more customized look and feels solid once installed. The no-drill design is a big plus, and the adjustable layout makes it more versatile for different truck beds and T-slot tonneau cover setups. The hardware and overall construction feel sturdy, but installation takes some patience to get everything aligned evenly and tightened down correctly. It’s a good-looking, functional upgrade, though the setup process keeps it just short of a perfect five-star product.
