So I'll start off with the good. It has a very nice quality screen. Good color balance and zero glare. It gives you some good choices on voice and map colors You can choose when it goes into night mode The touch sensitivity is good and easy to use. Will tell you what side of the street the address is on. Shows the street address numbers on the top of the screen in real time both left and right. Now the bad. The mount is completely lacking for the job. This thing has a 9" screen and it really needs a much better mount than what came with it. Forget window mounting this thing without it bobbing around worse than a bobble toy. I only had one place in my truck I could put this without it hindering my view and it required some extra mounting to make it stay put. Nothing worse than driving down the road and not being able to read the street names because it's vibrating like crazy. And in case your wondering, Yes, I hard mounted it to my dash using the same hardware but with some creative ingenuity. It's a 91 so I can get away with it : ) Very poor instructions. Your better off just wondering around every setting to get what you want. It took me a couple of days to figure out how to make it just load the GPS when it turns on instead of that annoying I-pad wanna be screen. And even then, it still won't just load the map. You have to touch "Map" every singe time you start your rig. Not the very worse thing, but very annoying. I thought maybe if you just left it for a bit while driving it would finally just load the map, but nope. Can't always find the GPS signal. Now to be honest, I have only had it do this one time, but one time is too many. It would not find a GPS signal for hours even though my dash cam GPS had no issue. But there have a been a couple of times where it took a block or two before it finally got it's bearings. For some reason when in the map and needing to enter an address, it's default location on the list is, get this....Your location : / I'm like, I don't need to find myself thanks, I know where I am even if I really don't know how to get there. Even though you get a 9" screen, the font and screen res is lower so everything in the screen is bigger and makes the screen feel small. You can zoom out, but even the default zoom is not out enough. It makes it feel small because you only get to see a small portion of the map and if you manually zoom out, you immediately lose all the street names. Very low volume and this led me to my next issue. The aux output is very noisy. I have this going to a small external sound system that runs off my phone aux and I tied this into that system because of the lack of decent volume from the little speaker. And my god, it's like listening to a 56k dial up modem and it will continue making all sorts of weird noises until it finally loads the map. Then thankfully my phone seems to keep it in check after that by grounding out the aux. Over all, I could not find anything else out there in this size that didn't have a nanny state built in or options I would never use, or was a complete waste of money. It works for the most part without issue. But it's not perfect. Was it worth the money, I think so, but your mileage may very. I really wish I knew who actually built this thing as I'm sure some of the weird software issues could be fixed with an update, but there is no identifying maker marks anywhere. The media could not be loaded. I just got it and I hope maybe with the updates or whatever and get more accurate and address
