I recently received my Gotrax scooter, and I'm pleased to report that it arrived in perfect condition, with no damage to the box. I've been riding it for almost two weeks now, and I must say, this scooter is truly amazing. I've had experience with different types of scooters before, but the Gotrax stands out as a superior product. When I'm riding the Gotrax, I feel a remarkable sense of safety and control. The scooter is exceptionally easy to handle, and I do not have to fear the possibility of falling down. Its stability is particularly impressive, especially in the area where I live, where occasional rain can disrupt outdoor activities. The Gotrax scooter handles such conditions with ease, making every ride a smooth and uninterrupted experience. One feature that I greatly appreciate is the built-in carry basket. This basket fulfills my needs perfectly, allowing me to ride comfortably without the worry of straining my back when carrying heavier items. It has made a significant difference compared to other scooters that lack this convenient feature. While it's already a fantastic addition, I believe it could be even better if it had a cover to protect items during the ride. I did intensive research before I decided to buy this Gotrax ASTRO Electric Scooter, as I do not want to always run after my 4-year-old kid when she is riding the bike FAST! Of course, one of the major reasons I bought this one is the high rating it received. However, only by seeing the product itself do I realize what a correct decision I have made. Delivery and Packaging: The item was originally scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday. However, it arrived two days earlier on Monday! The product is well packaged with enough plastic foam to avoid damage during transport. Build Quality: This is where this product exceeds my expectations most! The scooter is heavy and feels very sturdy and textured when I took it out of the box. The frame was made of high-quality steel and the paint is smooth. It also has dual rear suspensions and dual drum brakes that make this scooter stand out! After I put the parts together (it is very easy to do so), the scooter looks sharp, modern, and high-class. The folding capability makes it smaller enough to be stored in the trunk of an SUV. I cannot wait to ride it! Riding Experience: No doubt it is really an enjoyable riding experience. The bike runs smoothly, and the handling is easy and straightforward. The large and well-cushioned saddle makes comfortable seating. It also has a strong front beam light and taillight to make it safe to operate at night. My kid was very curious about the scooter and wanted to ride with me by standing on the anti-slip deck. Two persons on the bike did not slow down its speed as I felt the power continuously output with no issue. Also to note is the battery life, after my 7-day ownership, the battery still has some juice left. I think I will do some local grocery shopping with this scooter for fun and eco-friendliness! Final thoughts: The price is not cheap although it was $20 off the list price when I bought it. However, with its top quality in mind, it deserves the price tag. Made in China may mean low quality for some consumers but this one blows this prejudice away. I only owned the scooter for 7 days, so the long-term reliability has not been tested.     • First time in a LOOOG time I got more than I expected!

I just got my Gotrax Ultra 500w. It is amazing. First off assembly was real simple. It charged for the first time a lot quicker than they said it would. I have seen reviews that said there was no key. Well the December 2023 model came with two keys. If you are like me and have never ridden a motorcycle or a power scooter let me first say this takes a bit of getting used to. It has two speeds, gears, and it is quick. I definitely recommend a helmet. It is built like a tank! Build quality is superb! If you are worried about going up hills like other scooters in reviews here, put your fears aside. Unless you weigh a lot this thing goes up hills like nobodies business! Outside of my complex is a pretty steep hill, not sure what the grade is but if you walk it you lean into it. This thing went up it and actually GAINED speed. Today I rode it for ten miles. The display has five bars when fully charged and at the end of the ride there was still four left. So I can easily believe that it would go at least 20 miles on a charge. As for speed. Like I said I am new to this but I have got it up to 18 mph and there was power to spare. So I am certain that it can do the 25 that the company advertises. The display is nice. It will tell you speed in mph/kph, distance traveled, what "gear" you are in and batter consumption. You do have to adjust the angle of it so you can read it clearly. The basket is nice. No, you are not going to get a week's worth of groceries in it... but it is not designed for that. I honestly do not see how this is not best in class as far as seated scooters go. If you are looking at buying one go for the ULTRA at 500 w motor. It is about a hundred dollars more but well worth it. Like I said this is the first one I have owned but I can't imagine any other companies being better. Especially at this price point. Oh, the ride is very good. Duel shock absorbers really do this trick. I bought a nice green reflective triangle for mine and it hangs off the basket for added safety. It is a nice touch. Well that's about it. If you are thinking of buying an electric scooter, don't hesitate, I truly believe this is the one to have. ... show more
