These seem to be reasonable quality canvases. They are not the kind of quality that professional or serious artists would use but I think they’d work well for beginners, students, and hobbyists. The ones I received are tightly stapled to the wooden frames and they arrived in excellent condition. The wooden frames, while they seem to be sturdy, are quite shallow in depth (~3/4 inch). Please see photos. I’ve not seen stretched canvases like this before. The ones I’m familiar with are at least twice as thick. I don’t see why these wouldn’t work just fine however (although the finished canvases would probably look nicer hung on the wall with the addition of deeper decorative frames). In my opinion, they are a good value for beginners, hobbyists, students, etc. ... show more

This set of three stretched cotton canvases on mounted frames are useable for students or practice painting. These are likely not going to be preferred surface for professionals. The cotton canvas is stapled to the frame rather loosely, particularly on the corners where there is noticeable extra material. They do not appear to be gessoed and the surface is relatively rough. That’s fine, but to effectively use you likely want to cover on gesso first. Overall good value for three canvases so not a bad purchase. I got these because I decided to take painting seriously and work on my skills to try to develop them. So since I am by no means an expert yet, I can't vouch necessarily for the quality of these in comparison with the much more expensive alternatives. I can say that they work great for me. I love that they come in a pack, I like how well the paint applies and stays on. I like the texture and the color of each one and overall I am very happy with them! These are not well stretched, and don't come with keys to tighten them. The stretcher bars are the thinnest I've ever seen. This is masked in the package by the canvas being cut larger than the bar. They're only .5" wide. All around carelessly made. The canvas is unevenly spaced, and the staples are too. The warp and weave of the canvas is slightly askew. They are cotton and pre primed, but I can't recommend these. ... show more

These stretched canvases are a great value set. While they may not be the highest quality, they are also not the lowest. They are perfect for children's projects and practice painting, where you don't want to spend a lot of money on an expensive canvas that you won't be keeping long-term. Two of the canvases have tight cotton, while the third is a bit loose and therefore required me to take out the staples and tighten it up. The cotton could be trimmed more uniformly, but it seems that these were made in large quantities, so the quality control may not be as high as with more expensive canvases. Inexpensive wrapped canvases. A bit loose but definitely serviceable to practice some brush technique.

These are decent canvases, but definitely not the best quality. I don't mind cheaper canvases, especially for practice, but my problem with these is that it says that they are gesso primed, but the actual label doesn't say that and they don't appear to be.

If you are looking for a bargain on several sizes of canvases for painting and crafting, this is a good buy. You get three sizes of canvases in a pack of 3, which is useful and convenient. Great for homeschool or crafts.
