I didn't set this up for probably 2 months after I bought it but we needed to be able to take some golf swings in the backyard so we had to get to it. It only took about 10 minutes once I took a quick look at the instructions. I could already see how it came together. It's really easy to setup. One person could easily do it and it is way easier than the tent type hitting net I've owned. As I've only had this up for 1 day, I can say nothing about durability or sturdiness but wow, it is ever a golf ball return machine. Everything hit into came back out and back to me. It was actually too strong coming back with the ball easily rolling 15 feet past me. I need to put things up to block it all... I can envision this coming in very handy when needing to take swing videos to try and correct some swing problems ... show more

Before I settled with this, I had purchased 4 golf practice nets starting with something around $50. In fact, I had bought this and returned thinking it was too big and didn't have all the bells and whistles Why I had to re-purchase this: I recently picked up golf after not playing for about 12 years. I now have a big backyard that I can leverage to practice the basic swing. Got those practice net that looks like a tent with fiber glass poles. The fiber glass poles of every practice net I got cracked or snapped in half in a day or two of being stood up in the Los Angeles sun. This net though has not falled apart. It has been out in the sun for days now and standing strong. I cannot tell you how sturdy the net itself is since I use thebpractice balls but I am happy that I don't need to take this down eveytime fter I use it. Also, it does gen blown away by the wind because the it has the base made of solid steel with side poles of much thicker (than those other cheap tent like net) fiber glass. If you are actually going to use this to practice and might need it in the Sun for more than 2 days, stop wasting money and time and get this. ... show more

    • Don’t miss the sturdy center net if you have decent swing speed

Wanted to wait and use this for a few months before posting a review. Easy to set up and I think the structure will last forever. If you offhit, slice or hook the ball with your driver and have swing speed equal or above mine, and I’m old, you will tear the net if you miss the heavy cords in the center. The last time I did it, the ball went through like the net wasn’t there. I don’t know why they didn’t just build it with the same heavy cord throughout, but… Based on the price, I don’t mind repairing it with duct tape the few times I’ve torn the net and I have a fence backstop so there’s that. I still think it’s an okay purchase and would buy it again. Does wonders for working on freeing up my swing and has added a good many yards of distance to all my clubs. Works great as a target for bump and runs and chips, too. ... show more

If you are a golf nut like I am then this is it. This is great for getting your game back or working on something new. It's also good if you have that urge to just swing some steel but it's to late to run out to the course. BOOM! Grab one of these nets like I did. I'm telling you straight up, average golf nut to average golf person.....it's awesome if you have the space or not. It collapses into an easy sturdy bag and I couldn't believe how easy it was to set up. I even set up in really hot weather without a problem because it went up so quick. I wouldn't of bothered if it looked like a headache when I opened the box, lol. I don't work for this company and nobody's paying me to say this. If you hit it long and hard this net WILL hold up. I hit it pretty hard and chose this one after some research. You'll find this is the best one out of the 3 main nets listed and largest. Net is a good deal for the price. Weld did break within a couple months. But I must say the customer service by P&P Imports was excellent! When my Weld broke within 10 minutes of me reaching out I had a tracking number for the replacement part at no charge. I submitted a pic and copy of order. It was as easy as that. No fuss. Defects happen and the way P&P Imports handled my experience was excellent. If it wasn't for the broken Weld I would have gave a 5 star rating easily. I've been considering a hitting net for awhile, but not willing to spend the high cost of some. I have a three car garage of a high enough ceiling without swing interference and the dimensions of this net seemed like a good fit. Others provided positive reviews, so I pulled the trigger. Definitely pleased with the purchase. Easy to assemble and at first appearance the net has a durable look and feel. While the net should be highly capable of handling real golf balls, I have been using the high density foam practice balls. Maybe the only word of caution is if using a tee it may pass through the net depending on your hit. If you have something on the other side of the net, like a car, then make sure it's protected to avoid smacking it with a wooden tee. Nice product at a good price point.
