The primary reason I selected this tent is because I was looking for a quality 24x48 grow tent that I could stand in without bending. This came closest to meeting my requirements; with the included 9 inch height extension, I got 68 inches (which is also my height) and this just allows me just enough room to stand upright. The Gorilla folks claim their tent is the best on the market because of the thickness of the fabric, the pole supports, and the variety of wiring and ventilation ports provided. I am new to all of this but after receiving and setting up the tent, I would have to agree that it is a quality product and meets my minimum expectations, which are actually quite high. While 2 - 3 times the cost of many competitor offerings, I would rather spend the extra money and be satisfied, rather than compromise on price and end up with something that doesn't fully meet my expectations and needs. While the tent is shown to be 24 x 48, the inside dimensions are closer to 22 x 46. This size of this tent provides just enough space for a small space heater, humidifier, fans, lighting, inline fan, ducting, and two 5-7 gallon pots and will be located in an insulated garage. I plan on growing during the cooler months so heat (too much of it) won't be an issue. ... show more

I’m currently growing Peppers and Tomatoes, and love the ability to control all aspects of growing conditions with this product. Comparable to prices of likeminded products. Be conscientious that one receives all parts, mine was missing one clip at the extension pole.

Cons : A tad too short for HPS lamp. For instance, after installation a Gavita will hang and start producing light at around 50 inches from the ground. (Leaving a too short distance between your grown plants and the lamp.) Pros : It can be extended by 2 feet for an extra 114$. It is very well built and hold a lot of weight (I have about 120 pounds of equipment on the roof). Doesn't leak air or light. Go for the full height if you can instead. (My height was very limited) ... show more

Updated review! I had been using the extension flap upside down! Upon moving and setting it back up there were no light leaks and she came together quite nicely. I upgraded the review to 5 Stars. The Viperspectra 600 proved to be perfect for this footprint. Been using tent with extension and there is an exposed hole on the top part of the zipper where the flaps meet. Looks like w/o the extension there is a flap that would block it creating 100% light block. I'm using a "600" Viperspectra in this set up and the light is visible through the zippers on the extension. Although, it didn't seem to have an effect on the dark cycle. There are plenty of ports for running fans, dehumidifiers, lights, and vents on this to keep your plants happy! I like the windows and little mesh pocket on the inside to store my pocket microscope. ... show more

I like that it's medium size and compact. The material also seems strong and durable. Unfortunately the seams have been showing light since day one. Doesn't seem properly sewin together. The zipper also broke on the first week. Didn't think it was a big deal until my hundredth time zipping & unzipping using a broken zipper. Now it's just super annoying. Practically useless. Also didn't think the see-through seems wasn't a big deal until I stop using my exhaust fan. Without the exhaust fan on constantly the Smiles just seeping through the seams. It's still a super cool tent so I was still trying to find a use for it. I took it outside in my outdoor patio and quickly realize it's not waterproof. Ha! Just going to bring it back indoors; duct tape it to make it light and smell proof, Superglue the zipper and bam. I'm guessing that the inexpensive competitor products are worse. I still like the concept so my next order will have extra duct tape in my chart for the busted seams and Super Glue for the weak zippers. ... show more
