I like this coffee tumbler a lot. I've been using it for a few days now, and it's been extremely cold. But the school bus is still coming, and the parents are still gonna stand around and chat for a few minutes after it leaves. I gotta go, and I need my coffee. This morning it was 0 degrees at the bus stop. But my coffee stayed hot. And I really like the shape of the lid. Drinking is really comfortable from this lid. Some lids have a lot of little crevices where the coffee slips into and then you go for your next sip and the coffee in the crevices falls on your shirt. Some lids are really thick and just don't have a good mouthfeel. No, not this lid. It's simple and easy and just the right thickness. And yes, I think way too much about this topic. Furthermore, this lid screws on, making it more secure than one that pops on and off. And when you snap the thing down onto the hole, it seems leak-proof. I keep meaning to turn it upside down and test that a little, but I just haven't remembered it. Probably because my brain doesn't work until I have coffee. And I can't test an empty cup after the coffee is gone and my brain turns on. Is that what they call a Catch-22? But I digress. . . The one thing that I don't love is that this is too tall to fit under the nozzle of my espresso pod machine. I wish that it was one inch shorter. But then it probably wouldn't be 20 oz, and I need the interior space for the days when I require a triple shot. So I've just been holding it at an angle under the machine. It only takes a few minutes. It does fit into my car's cup holders, so it's just too big for the espresso maker. It fits everywhere else. I really like this tumbler, and I would recommend it.

I am a fan of Gorilla Grip products. They are always well designed with quality components and they are durable. This coffee mug is no exception. The lid has your flip style cover that solidly clicks into the closed and open position. It also has these raised bumps going around the lid that makes it easier to screw it tight so that it does not leak or to loosen it to take it off and fill with your favorite beverage. The lid includes a silicone seal and a vent hole that gets sealed when the flip top cover is in the closed position. The finish is solid and does not flake off like other cheap finishes. This mug is dishwasher safe but they do recommend hand-washing. I personally hand-wash the lid and throw the body into the dishwasher. I have used this coffee mug almost everyday since I received it and It keeps my coffee hot and fits into my cup holder in my vehicle. If your cup holders can hold a large McDonald's cup then it should not have an issue with this. The last thing about the mug is that it has a wider base than most and it makes it more stable and not so top heavy. This is another great product by Gorilla Grip, while they might not invent a product they definitely improve them.

It will only keep coffee hot for 2 hours, which is usually long enough to drink it. P.S. Order a black handle from Amazon. It makes it a lot easier to use. I love the drinking spout. It fits my 83 year old mouth perfectly.

My husband has been drinking crazy amounts of coffee lately and was using subpar insulated cups daily. I was so tired of them leaking, leaving rings on the counters, lids breaking, etc. He is clumsy lol. Enter, Gorilla Grip. For the price, I think this is an excellent option for an insulated coffee cup. It appears to be manufactured well, the materials are nice, and it's aesthetically pleasing to boot. The lid fits amazingly well, with threading that keeps it truly leak proof. We love that the "tab" goes 180°, it'll lay perfectly/snap into place on the other side of the lid, which was a big deal for my husband. It stays out of the way while drinking, and when closed it fits nice and tight. It isn't difficult to open though. As far as heat retention, no complaints here. He doesn't let it sit closed for very long periods of time, but we know it at least stays hot for up to 4 hours. I'm sure it'd go longer if tested. The cup is also pretty darn durable. It's been dropped onto hardwood and in the driveway and was not damaged, nor did it leak. No stains inside so far, and it's easy to clean! We're both pretty happy with it so far.

I found this Gorilla brand travel mug to be attractive, well-made, and excellent at keeping beverages hot. With its more angled shape, it fits well in all our vehicle cup holders, and it’s wider shape feels good to hold in the hand. The rim of the cup is smooth and rolled, giving a nice feel to drink from without a lid. The lid to the cup also feels good on the mouth, fits snuggly on the cup, and does not leak. It’s one piece, flip open design makes it very easy to use (unlike another well-known brand with its irritatingly fussy four piece design). I tested this Gorilla mug with hot tea, and found that it performed as advertised, having stayed hot for at least 4 hours, and being still warm (just lukewarm though) at 8 hours. I also washed it in the dishwasher, and it came out like new. All-in-all, this is an attractive insulated mug that feels good to use, and performs as it should. What sets it apart is that it is dishwasher safe, and that it is VERY well priced, being a third to a quarter of the cost of other well-known brands. Only wish it came in more colors. Recommend without reservation!
