Its easy to cut! I know that sounds like a weird headline, but i needed to find a rug that I could cut through with these old arthritic hands of mine. I couldn't find a square outdoor waterproof rug to fit my patio step (massive waste of space that "step" is) anywhere! So I bought this one hoping that I could cut it myself without too much hassle. I used a sewing roller blade to cut into it, and then was able to use a scissor to finish cutting all the way through. I am very happy with the way it looks. Having said all of that, its not a flimsy rug by any means. Its thick and well made. I tucked the cut ragged edge under the doorway opening so it doesn't show. I love how it looks. I gave it 5 stars even though it has a horrible chemical smell that lasts for days. Air it out away from your open window bc it will stink up the house. But it has been a week now and the smell is mostly gone. Despite that smell, I love this rug, the color is a deep rich green and the designs stand out well. I highly recommend. ... show more

I was a little disappointed that these doormats are so thin. I put them down last night and they are still curled up. I have had heavy duty doormats and these are not those. I hope eventually that they will lie down. Though they are very pretty and look nice in front of both doors, time will tell about the absorbency, durability and the ease of cleaning them. ... show more

    • Didn't work on the carpet
I put this carpet outside the door in the hall. It didn't stay in place on the carpet and was too thick and moved around when the door was opened. It looks very nice outside my door on the tile and stays in place.

I use them as door mats both inside and outside, and they are attractive, durable, easily cleaned, and stay put--all essential features for a door mat.     • Very pretty and sturdy stron smell
You will have to air it out for a few days if you are using indoors as it came with a strong smell. Thankfully the smell will go away. Used it in the entry and it is working great picking up dirt, super pretty dark green color and the embossed leaves look very pretty. Will purchase more for other entryways. This is a nice mat but no matter what I do i cannot make it lay down stright. I have tried rolling it the opposite direction, placing heavy objects on it and leaving in the warm sun. Nothing works and I hope someone doesnt trip out the edge.

I had a slip proof rug inside our sliding door, but the backing got wet and stuck to the floor. I had to scrape up pieces. To replace it, I wanted something sturdier that could handle moisture as well as sitting in direct sunlight. This is a very sturdy rug and will last for years!
