A great deal on a great camera. I got this for my kids and they love it. The gopro looked Brand New...not a scratch on it. However, the battery would not hold a charge. Very pleased with my GoPro 6, I got a refurbished one and it’s awesome. I know we all have read negative reviews with peoples experience but my camera came in perfect condition. Works amazing. Quality is amazing. Truly love my GoPro6! Very pleased. The only bad thing I would say is the battery life. So I have a GoPro Hero 3+ and thought it was about time to upgrade to something better. I started my search and quickly remembered that new GoPros aren’t very cheap.. so I decided to try out a “Renewed” GoPro Hero 6 and so far I am glad I did. After opening the box, I was surprisingly shocked how new the camera actually looked. It came with a decent case, battery, charger, and a few 3M tape mounts. I took the case off of it and didn’t see a single scratch, dent or even a little blemish. The screens all had the plastic over them as if this camera was brand new from a store. I put in the battery (which was completely dead) and charged the camera up to 100%. The touchscreen works, all the picture modes work, the battery keeps a charge. Honestly, this camera seems like they made a mistake and sent me a brand new one instead of a renewed version. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a GoPro and not wanting to spend a ton of money on a brand new one. ... show more

I got this to function as a dash cam for my motorcycle after an idiot was driving his black mustang convertible and almost hit me and others when he was swerving between lanes - he was driving like he was playing GTA, including slamming on the brakes to try and get a rear end collision on an off ramp all during commute hours, so very heavy traffic. There aren't really any good options for motorcycles for dash cameras so I decided to try this. Recording at 4K 60FPS provides a very clear still image (see the attached picture - I've blanked out the license plates but they are very readable). The battery life is ok, it looks like it should last about 1-2 hours, my 30+ min commute recording at 4K60 leaves the battery with ~60% remaining. A couple of tips: To get the superwide field of view you need to drop down to 4K30, but the gain on the width is very small so I'm leaving it at a higher FPS to try and get less motion blur, although I'm still playing around with it. I have this mounted with a RAM mount suction cup that I got a few years ago. It's not ideal since the mount doesn't accept the larger GoPro thumb screw, but it does work and holds the camera stable enough that the playback with image stabilization is pretty good (maybe the Hero7 will be slightly better - but this is very usable). The touch screen on the back of the Hero6 is very intuitive and easy to use and the ability to press and hold the record button to turn on and start recording video is very convenient, especially when wearing gloves. The only item to be aware of when buying something like this as "renewed" or refurbished, is the camera may be attached to the previous owners account, so I strongly recommend you do an immediate factory reset if you buy used. I took a chance and bought 2- of these refurbed cameras given the price was under $200. What I received was a factory sealed box with the camera, case and cables and battery. No, it wasn't the retail packaging but who cares? The cameras look brand new and function perfectly. I havent found any downsides to buying these. Sure they are refurbed and not the latest model (Hero 7 Black), but for (close to) half the price I couldn't be happier. ... show more

This is a great GoPro for those willing to spend a good amount of money, yet still have a top-line camera. It is a renewed item, but the one I received looked brand-new. Image stabilization is very good, and the ability for voice commands is fantastic. As an equestrian, being able to control it hands-free is a huge plus. Battery life is fairly good, though the inability to charge when mounted in the skeleton case is a slight drawback, but the ability to change out batteries is resolves that. Audio quality is great, with the skeleton case leaving the microphone clear to pick up sound. ... show more
