Sadly, I don't think I will EVER do justice to this little GoPro. It's just a SUPER Great little action camera - SUPER impressed with all the features & there's just a insane amount of after market bit's you can get. I've had to use this GoPro as my dashcam until I could sort out some other odd quirks I was having with various options from Wolfbox - but - MAN - this little camera is SO cool !!! ... Picture quality is amazing - I had ZERO heat issues with it - granted my drive from home to work is all of 12mins max - thus - this little camera didn't have a real chance to overheat as many complain. I did - once - just for the fun it - did leave it on & sitting on my dash of my 07 C6 Corvette & again - didn't have any issues - it just sat there - a silent sentinel & just recording life as it happened. Nothing exciting thankfully - but - bottom line ... my little GoPro was happy - thus - I'm FINALLY happy owning a GoPro ...

Sometimes I buy cheaper, (like store brand), stuff, but sometimes I only buy brand name. I’m that way with toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, tooth paste and yes, GoPro cameras! I’ve been shooting a forthcoming YouTube reality series about farming and I use 6 GoPro cameras on each tractor/loader/dump truck/exacavator, etc.. Some are 10 series and some are 13, (so they use different batteries — the 13 batteries are WAAAYYYY better!), but they are all tough as nails! These things have fallen off of tractors pulling discs and plows … go back and find them in the torn up field several days later, (even after a hard rain), and they work just fine! (I’ve gotten some great video of the falls, too!) I had one that fell off in the fenced portion of our yard where our 7 Great Danes spend their days playing. I found it two weeks later with the mount chewed off, tooth marks on the camera and covered with mud. Opened it up, installed a new battery and it turned right on! Connected right to my GoPro Quick App and everything. And, if you get the Prime + GoPro membership, ($99/year), they’ll replace one camera per year with no questions asked! Only issue is, I don’t think I’ll ever break one to need to use that feature.🤦🏼♂️ They’re not the cheapest action camera on the market, obviously … probably the most expensive. But, there’s a reason that they are the staple of the action world and have been used in so many major motion picture productions over the years! They’re just that good! Video quality is AWESOME and the stability (shake/vibration elimination feature) is amazing! I couldn’t film most of what I do for this series and have anything usable if it didn’t have the stabilization that it has. Waterproof? YES! I’ve had these drop into creeks and ponds and puddles … I’ve retrieved them all with zero issues! The features are endless and in conjunction with their QUICK App, you can do so much, (including editing of complete videos), right there on the go! Plus you can control multiple cameras from the app, so you can preview the aim of the shots and record on individual cameras, instantly hi lighting key moments so they’re easy to find without sifting blindly through endless hours of video. Please, save yourself time, money and stress by getting the real deal if you’re just starting out and looking for an action camera. Get the GoPro and go with the 13 so you get the latest features and extended battery life! In the long run, you’ll thank me!

Amazing action camera to take footage for all your adventures! This takes very high quality pictures in and out of water. It is waterproof till about 30 feet but don’t go diving further without the waterproof housing. If you’re like me and like to go snorkeling or diving often buy it. You won’t regret it because you’ll have the footage to remember the adventures you’ve taken. The lense and focus does take some getting use to and for the most part I have found that objects within about 8 feet and closer are very clear and then further away is a little hazy unless you are very still during your video footage. The camera feature works well but is slow to process. For things happening quickly like spotting animals in nature or wanting to snap a shot of someone doing something crazy I’ve found it best to use only the video feature and then go and edit into a photo later using my computer or phone. The GoPro Quik app also works well to make content edits quickly using its ai features and filters/transitions/music/and more.

The go-pro system is getting better and better and is still pretty much the industry standard and leader in action cams. Lets face it, everyone's chasing and competing with them. Upgraded from a GoPro 11. Pros: Being able to use bluetooth mics is really nice, and capable of pairing with my Cardo motorcycle headset to use my helmet intercom system for the camera. Another great feature is finally adding a 1/4" thread mount to give a larger ecosystem of mounts. Also having a magnetic base gives you a new bit of flexibility for mounting. And has come in handy as I found I can rotate my phone mount in my truck to hold the camera to make videos. Magnet isn't super strong, but strong enough. Cons: Still overheats and still not the best battery life. If making multiple clips (i.e. doing retakes back to back) you'll find its starting to overheat when they system gets real laggy. Likes to reboot itself when it gets to hot so use that as a sign to cool down. Loss of the power modes is sad like not having "extended battery" mode kind of stinks too.
