First off, you need to know that this "creator edition" is apparently not sold by or put together by GoPro. The extra batteries that they send are not GoPro batteries and they don't even hold a charge when they aren't in the camera. You charge them up and they are dead in a couple of days just sitting there waiting to be used. Even GoPro says to only use their batteries, so I told the seller that's what I wanted and they sent me more off brand batteries that have the same issue. The flexible tri pod in the set broke within a month and we're, still not sure how it even happened. The camera randomly freezes up and you can't even get it to power off unless you hold the power button for 12 seconds or more. I had to figure that out by trial and error. Keep in mind that the camera is recording the entire time its seized up, you just can't stop it from recording unless you do as previously stated. The batteries in this thing last about 20 minutes if you're lucky. I bought extra batteries beyond what is in the kit, with a double charger, and I still can't get more than a few hours record time. Many of the features randomly stop working as well. I have the quick app with cloud storage and I have it set to delete the footage from the camera once it's downloaded to the cloud. It worked great for almost a month and then it just stopped working. It downloads to the cloud but doesn't auto delete and most of the videos no longer even show up on the camera, but they show up on the app. So we can't even review and delete on the camera anymore. And if you record a video more than 20 minutes long, it will almost never download to the cloud. I have let it download for days and there are still 2 longer videos on the camera that will not download to the cloud. If it is even slightly warm where you are recording, this camera overheats every 30 minutes or so and shuts down. If you're doing a time lapse or even leave it turned on when you're not recording, this thing gets stupid hot, even to the touch in record time. If it's actually set in the sun during recording, I've had it shut down in less than 10 minutes. The only thing that makes this thing useable, is the volta handle it comes with. That has a pretty good battery in it and it can charge the camara while you use it. That increases the record time to a couple of hours or so. But other than on a rare occasion, I have never been able to get the remote buttons on the handle to actually control the camera. So, I just use it as a tripod and portable charger. It makes the camera more manageable for easy recording as well. But even it doesn't work entirely as designed. The card that comes with this thing will hold very little footage, especially if you record in the highest quality, which is fairly pointless by the way, since downloading that to most devices in that quality is nearly impossible, and if it does load, it takes forever. So, I have to downgrade the quality to get it to load to anything I use to edit. I finally purchased a terabyte card, and if you do that make sure that it's the proper speed rating for video. The media mod is a must since the camera mic sucks, but even though it appears to go both directions, it records sound much better on the lens side. So if you are recording yourself it picks up good, but if you are recording something else and talking, it's not nearly as good. It also picks up a lot of unwanted noise really well. So if you're recording and walking through dry leaves, you hear the walking more than the talking. Also, the media mod doesn't work with a gimble, if you purchase that separately. So you get smoother video, just crappy sound. And without the media mod, remote mics aren't an option either. At least not the ones I have. I also don't like that there isn't much of a zoom feature. The quality is good enough that you can zoom in editing, but since you have to lower the quality so much to download, sometimes it looks pretty crappy. And if you're recording an event like a ball game, it can be hard to tell if you're actually recording what you want since it all looks sooo far away. In the end, this thing is finicky, most of the accessories in the kit are junk, and you almost need a car battery to run this thing and a radiator to keep it cool. But I have so much invested in this system along with everything that I have stored on the app, that I have little choice but to keep using it until it completely stops working. But in my opinion and experience over the last 6 months of use, this thing sucks for the cost and if I had it to do over again I would go a different route. Customer service is also pretty bad to communicate with this item. I told them I wanted Go Pro batteries specifically. Nope, here's some more junk. ... show more
