As other reviews have said, the construction is flimsy, the spikes need to be longer, and it needs to be heavier. Because of the latter two things this is a waste of money. I cut my grass very short, and the spikes still are not long enough to reach into the ground and aerate the soil. I recommend not buying this product. ... show more

I could not get the steel studs to penetrate the ground. When adding pressure, the metal stud bars begin to bend. Possibly, if a center support was added it might work better. Sorry to give this item a poor review. I really hoped it would work.

Listen this is a cheap aerator so don't expect large plugs. No weight to product so you need to press a bit. Bolt fell off wheel but I should have checked it before using. Overall if you have a very small yard it will be fine. anything more the 20x40 rent an aerator.

This tool has serious build quality issues. Of course, it's being lightweight, it needs extra force or weight to penetrate the soil. So the spike bars started to bend and the wheel screws started to fall out. I cannot return this item since it does not offer hassle free-return and they may charge you up to 50% restocking fee for the used or damaged items. So take extra caution before thinking about purchasing this item. I just wasted time and money on this and returning the item is pretty much impossible. I have noticed that other stores offer returns and full refunds. This is the worst 3rd party Amazon store that I have ever come across. BE AWARE!!! ... show more
