This worked great as a dinghy on the back of a boat. We keep it inflated and lay on its side on the back of the swim platform when going to places where we'll need it. It's very well built and stable. It's efficient and cuts through in the water and stays on a straight track with those two fins. The whole Kayak deflates in 3 parts and can be put back in the storage back. Takes about 10 minutes to inflate and deploy again once you've done it a few times. This is my first inflatable kayak, so set up and inflation solo took some time, but with practice, will definitely go faster next time. After some trial and error, I partially inflated each of the two sides before placing and inflating the floor piece. Then I inflated the 2 sides the remaining way full. ~Tip: twist and quickly pull the pump hose straight out after inflation, so the pin is in the up (closed) position. This prevents deflation upon disconnecting the pump hose. The kayak is well made and handled great in a busy and wavy lake. The seat supplied is comfortable ( I only used one in the rear of the kayak). I stored my gear up front. I only used one skeg in the rear, which worked great. The manual pump works well. I used and electric pump for deflation. I have my own carbon fiber paddle, so I didn't need the 2 sets that were provided. I was able to repack everything into the large, sturdy carry bag. I like the portability and easy transport of this kayak. I camp a lot and can't store or transport a hard shell kayak. Overall, this is a great kayak that I plan to use often on rivers and lakes throughout the year. Very satisfied with my purchase! ... show more

We own hard shell kayaks and a couple of inflatable paddle boards, but we wanted something that we could travel with a little more that were not the paddle boards. We previously owned a 2 seater kayak -- that eventually got a hole in it and would not patch correctly. We decided to try a higher quality one and this fit the bill. I like the size of it as well as the 500+ lb. capacity. The floor is an inflated insert that becomes stiff like a paddle board and you don't sink into it when you get in. We found that if you partially inflate the sides then place the insert in the floor it all inflates much better. There is a lot of raft here and getting it into the carry bag after use will take a little work but honestly not a big deal. The quality on the materials is great and I like the rubber clips for the paddles on the sides. The raft rides high and is faster than I expected. One thing I didn't like so much was the 3 piece paddles. The connectors end up right where my hands go -- but this makes sense if you are looking to save space and fit the paddles into the bag. Upgrading the paddles to ones you may like would be my only consideration. We are very pleased and are looking forward to using it more in the future. The kayak is quality constructed. I'm 6'-4'" at 230 lbs. and the kayak supported me with ease. Inflation with the included pump was easy as was deflation. Some pumps include a deflation mode. This pump did not have one. Floor is pumped up to 8 psi and the side tubes at 2+psi. The floor is solid and the kayak was stable. I did not try the tandem seats, only a single seat in the rear and the middle. Seats could use longer straps to accommodate moving one seat to the middle section. Seat backs could be higher. D-rings should be located lower on the side tubes to keep the anchor point from digging into your legs. Paddles are annoying to hold as your hands are placed on the locking length adjustment and the other locking pin. Paddles can be extended approximately 4 inches. Adjustment of the tension to lock one section of the paddle is described in the instructions to "use a screwdriver" for adjustment. No, No, No, you turn the clamp lever to the right to tighten, I had to make 2 turns to properly clamp the paddle end. The foot rests sound like a good idea, but they are intended for short people or kids as adults will find them useless. 2 fins are supplied with the kayak, but I only used one towards the front. Easy to install and remove. The Kayak tracks straight with the fin and I did not try the kayak without the fins installed. The kayak is very maneuverable and lightweight. For adult use, I would suggest that the placement of the side tubes be moved outward as the side tubes hug the kayaker. For smaller adults or kids, this kayak will make your day fun. For adults of larger than average build, you will find it hard to be comfortable. The biggest "deal breaker" for me was the location of the installed kayak paddle clips on the side float tubes. They are absolutely in your way as they will rub your fingers and thumbs. They sound like a good idea, but not really useful and not necessary. Good quality but not for me. ... show more

We go kayaking about once a week and needed a second kayak. This one is easy to set up. Takes about 5 minutes? Works great in the water. Has a carrying bag so the kayak and all is items for in it so you just have one thing to carry, which is not to heavy. The pump is pretty big and makes it quick and easy to inflate. After your done, opening the valves and deflating the kayak is really quick. We've taken it on the lake and also on the river with rapids. One of our friends that goes kayaking every week said the quality of this kayak is comparable to his $500.00 kayak. ... show more

Very disappointed! Item was sold to us in the State of Ohio for use, although manufacturer has been advised by US Coast Guard that product not eligible to be used in Ohio because Goplus will not follow regulations and issue a hull number for their kayaks. Therefore, product is not eligible to be licensed and can not be used legally per ODNR. Manufacturer has refused to refund our purchase and continues to sell in Ohio. Beware if you are planning to purchase thinking it can be used in Ohio. Still hoping Goplus will step up and do the right thing by refunding our money and makings things right. ... show more

Negative: This kayak uses standard air chambers, not reinforced drop-stitch, which is used only on floor. Side chambers run low pressure (2.18PSI). Does not have seam reinforcement tape on along the joints. If you want a better kayak that last longer, look for one with drop-stich floor and chambers. One way to tell is if you can inflate the chambers above 6 psi. Price will be higher. Positive: Compact to store, low weight. Easy assembly, just 5 minutes. Seats and oars are decent. Floor is very good. Price is a good for the kayak. It does work as intended. ... show more
