    • Battery is taking 5-6 hours to charge
Unit is switching off by itself. Have to reset the unit 2-3 times during watching of one movie. Battery is completely discharging within 1.5 hours. It is only enough to watch 1 regular movie. Then you have to charge it for 5-6 hours to watch another movie. Bad design for a price of over $1,000.

not accurate description according what is as described, not comfortable, couldn't get screen focused even tho it has focus dial , getting to hot when powered on , googles getting hot an the unit getting hot , battery doesn't last , so short life, also not enough cables, instructions confusing, confusing when trying these on, perfect advertisement but in reality doesn't meet the expectations the ones been described, I personally think these outdated and not worth the money to spend, even if you have 500 , I still would not buy as it is not worth it , they are claiming a lot of things but the technically tried not worth it! thank you cheap Chinese product.. ... show more

    • Best movie watching headset to date
Bought the Goovis Pro+D3 combo. Works really well for watching movies. I have a number of other headsets, including the Avegant Glyph from years ago, and multiple VR ones, such as Oculus Quest 2, Valve Index, and the new HP Reverb G2. In terms of moving watching, all VR headsets are terrible, even when the stated per-eye resolution is higher than Goovis. The Avegant Glyph was better than all the VR options, but Goovis is still much better than the Glyph. Screen size: Goovis’ claim that the screen size is equivalent to 800” really depends on the viewing distance. For example, I compared it with a 170” projector screen, and I’d say Goovis’ viewing experience is equivalent to sitting about 12 feet way from that screen. So it’s probably equivalent to an 800” screen if sitting farther away. But regardless of the claim, the actual experience is quite immersive with a huge field of view. Image quality: The stated resolution is 1080p. The perceived resolution is high enough that I never get distracted by any visual artifacts. The VR headsets all have too much screen door effects and uneven edge-to-edge sharpness. Goovis doesn’t show any screen door effects, and looks really perfect edge-to-edge. The only downside I can find is that its black depth is limited. I I can adjust the brightness mode to mitigate the issue. Optics: For people who wear prescription glasses like myself, the Goovis headset comes with focus adjustment in each eye. I can also adjust the pupillary distance. But more importantly, the adjustment knobs are located under the headset on the outside, so I can adjust anything without taking my headset off. Sound: Many reviews complain about Goovis not having built-in headphones. Initially I thought that was a miss as well. But after the first day, I realized that’s by choice. Audio is so important for the movie watching experience, that cheap headphones just won’t do. If Goovis has to provide a premium quality built-in audio solution, the headset price would have to be higher. Also for anyone who buys this kind of headset, chances are he already has some of the best headphones already. Comfort: It’s an interesting design that there’s no battery in the headset itself. The end result is that the headset is super small and lightweight. The eye relief is reasonable, so I don’t need to wear it super tight in order to have a clear view. The cushion pad that comes with the headset is reasonably comfortable, but I replaced it with the softer cushion that Goovis sells separately. It’s comfortable enough to watch two movies in a row. Device compatibility: In addition to using the D3 Player, I can use pretty much any device that supports HDMI output. Apple TV works great, and so does a Blu-Ray player, Nintendo Switch, or many other devices. Power: The headset is powered through the HDMI cable. The D3 player can power it directly through its port (maybe it’s the MHI power spec, but not sure). But when I use non-MHI ports, such as Apple TV, Goovis provides an additional USB cable to inject power into the headset. D3 Player: The D3 player is an Android device, so you can connect to the Google PlayStore and get any Android app. It has a control interface built into the face of the player, so you can hold the D3 Player in your head as a remote control. It’s a bit big, but it works fine. The D3 also has a rechargeable battery that can hold enough charge to power both itself and the headset for about 4 hours. The downside is it runs a bit hot and has a somewhat noisy fan, so I suggest you use a headphone with noise cancellation. I tried Apple AirPod Max and the Sony WH1000XM3 with D3, and both work well. 3D Movies: Goovis’ 3D viewing experience is incredible. It’s on par with the 3D experience in a movie theater. It supports both side-by-side or top-bottom format. But more importantly, it supports the frame packing format that most Blu-Ray 3D movies use. Watching a Blu-Ray 3D movie is a truly joyful experience on Goovis. Goovis is a pretty amazing device. It beats everything else in the market for personal, discrete moving watching. The Goovis is the state of the art virtual viewer with 3D capabilities. I watched Captain Marvel in 3D and the depth and clarity of the movie was the best possible quality I could have imagined! It looked like I was actually in the room with the actors. The 3D rendering is beautiful beyond any 3D technology thats available on the market. Im very impressed with everything Ive watched on this viewer. I would recommend this to anyone who is into Virtual viewers ... show more

2D is good, though very small. 3D is the same FOV of the 2D. This is not on immersion style 3D, its like you are watching a 3D drawing out in front of you. Picture quality is great, though small, was able to fully focus with the focus knobs. However, this has along way to go to become a great 3D viewer. ... show more

I like how it looks we'll put together they say it projects 800 inch Imax screen that I didn't see picture where kinda blurry in my opinion I didn't think it was not worth the money that was spent so I send it back.

Over priced, head ban to tight ,can't upgrade the android version; me personally cant connect to tablet even bought the hdmi adapter, vudu app doesn't work
