    • A++ Would Buy Again
I've had my Pixel Fold now for about two months. I switched from an iPhone 13 Pro Max after being an iPhone user since the iPhone 3g. Something about a foldable was just too cool not to try. I got the phone for around $600 shipped to my door. I bought it as "Refurbished - Excellent", and that's exactly what I got. I couldn't tell if the phone was ever even used prior to me getting it. I've been using it without a case, just a glass screen protector on the front and one over the camera. The front glass does seem to micro scratch pretty easily, hence why I needed up with the screen protector. The battery life and charging speeds were a concern after reading about them, but I don't have any issues with either, period. I didn't charge the phone last night and I'm on it now, typing this review, with 30% battery life. If I had to compare, I'd say my iPhone had better battery life, but it isn't that noticeable and the Pro Max models are known for their exceptional battery life anyway. So what issues have I had? I mentioned the front display scratching easily which is a bummer, but I think they're using glass that is more resistant to shatter, so it's softer. Google Assistant. I miss Siri, and boy was Siri frustrating. I assumed Google's assistant was miles ahead, but not even close. Siri is more usable and I also hate saying Google to summons the assistant. Shouting a brand name just feels dirty. I just don't summons the assistant by voice anymore. Gemini is a step up, but still requires saying Hey Google. I thought android would allow more customization like changing the wake word, but no sir. The dang google search bar at the bottom of the screen. There's a search bar permanently at the bottom of the screen with Google's logo prominently across it. You cant get rid of it. I thought Android was known for its customization, but I never had an Apple logo plastered to my screen 24/7. The only thing you can do is replace the launcher with a third party one. I couldn't find one I liked. Lawnchair was the closest that kinda supports folding phones. Apple Music. You cannot ask Gemini to play a specific song. It doesn't currently support apple music integration. You'll also want to kill the apple music app from running in the background after you're done using it. Otherwise you'll notice excessive battery drain. It needs to be able to run in the background to continue playing after locking the phone. It doesn't fold open completely flat. It's true. I wish it snapped open, but it's a V1 product. Heaviness. The phone is a bit on the heavy side. I don't notice it too much in the pocket, but using it while folded in the closed position can feel a bit heavy after awhile. Using it while open feels great. The thickness while closed (again, with no case) is almost exactly the thickness of my iPhone 13 Pro Max with its case, a pretty thin case too. Overall I love it and I'm keeping it. It'a a cool piece of tech. And for the price, I don't have to worry too much about something happening to it, though I do take good care of it. I use it opened probably 60% of the time. I use it with a PS2 emulator, all the emulator really, and played through Simpsons Hit and run already. As a bonus, the feeling of it snapping closed is satisfying. ... show more

    • Phone was not fully unlocked as advised.
The item arrived in excellent condition but zero charge on the battery. After charging the phone and beginning the initial process I took the phone to my carrier to have it connected I was told the phone was locked and they could not set it up for me. The phone was advertised on Amazon as fully unlocked and the box (not original) also indicated the phone was fully unlocked. When I contacted the seller customer service (two different calls to make sure I was being given the correct information) I was told the phone had been a Verizon phone before and apparently had not been unlocked. I was promptly given a return label to ship the phone back for a refund (which will probably take more than a week to process between shipping ground and its inspection) and they did not even offer an exchange. The customer service representative told me “ well, sometimes this happens “. Too bad because I really liked what I saw of the phone while I was trying to initiate it. Low rating is based, not on the product, which I could never test, but for the false advertising that the phone was fully unlocked. ... show more

Hands down!!! its GOOGLE!!! their inventors are ingenious!! For one the price of a Google pixal is far superior than samsung,in my opinion (sry sammy) The entire phone is solid all the components work well, it's structured and built to last. well you could feel it when you hold it in your hand, it feels solid and great as you open up the fold it becomes a mini a mini computer. Zoom ability, color and camera are impeccable awesome. How convenient is that, it's BETTER THAN Mega Galaxy what to look for in a Google fold pixel phone , when you close that fold it's closed together and it stays together there's no Gap., however with the Samsung fold there's a gap, it's skimpy in width .width is to narrow and length to long making ut clumzy abd awkard to hold. the speed in goggle pixel fold is super greatest, speed on the Google pixel, suprisingly are no advertisements . Anazing. I got a 512 GB it was under $600.00 Unlocked, cell phone providers can't make $$$ off me or my purchase. Or over charge me as becoming prisioner in their 2yr contract. It brand new. I purchased my google pixel fold on Amazon as opposed to t mobile in the store, will they talk you into buying a phone that isn't really free, it's just all a bunch of sales bologna. for example T-Mobile or Verizon or aby carrior not only arw they' going to charge you for the phone, that you weee tild was free , but you're going to be paying twice as much.it To be fair, Samsung does make a respectable product, however Google is far superior and has got this one!! the phone is great they also make a third party case, with a with a keyboard and it's relatively not that expensive and it will work with the Google pixel mini or Google pixel Android. I can't tell you how happy I am I took one look at the Samsung fold and thought "Oh this is not for me". because it doesn't feel right the Samsung feels too tall and too thin or to Tall and very narrow. the Google pixel fits perfectly and it's it's solid. I wish I would have known this but way back when. so if you're in the market for a new cell phone I would highly recommend the Google pixel mini or six whatever it's a Google pixel Android fold it's not that hard to type I thought it would be difficult, but I use a swipe and it's perfectly fine, it's easy I make less spelling errors on that than a regular typewriter. so it's up to you, but I'm with you, Jyst like you I want to spend money wisely Google pixel fold is the way to go. All my phones for the last nearly 10 years have been Amazon renewed products. And honestly I haven't had one issue. I've had a s20 12gb ram and a xr last me till today. I only upgraded to the fold for a new experience. And got it for $350. And not bad phone. Not as powerful as a s20. But it does run everything a lot smoother. I can't wait to see how long this lasts? Or might get the 10 pro fold. When the 12 or 13 comes out. In the US to be honest it's bad. It's unreal what happening. ... show more

Update! I've decided this phone is definitely worth 5 stars... I reviewed this phone last October 2024, I thought is was fantastic, except, I had concerns regarding the longevity and the quirky software... Since then I've become very confident that this phone will last for the long haul... As for the software for the dual screen they've addressed issues with that as well, which gas sealed my 5 star opinion about the phone... As far as I can tell, if you buy this phone now, competently refurbished, you'll purchase, what think is, the best fold phone on the market especially for the price now... Oct 2024 I can play fortnite with the dual screen when needed, with no lag. The phone when folded has a very solid feel... Very easy to hold it never feels like it will slip out of your hand and if it happened to fall it probably won't break... The crease is visible but unnoticeable after a short time playing games, watching movies or a YouTube video... I have not noticed a lag with videos as well... I have a controller that I put on the phone and it fits perfectly... Only negative I can think of is it semi difficult to open the dual screen, but that can be a positive as well... I've have several flip and fold phones, as far as I can tell so far with a few months use this is my favorite... I usually change phones a lot, but I've stayed with this one the longest so far... I purchased this phone renewed from Amazon... It was less than half the price, originally... ... show more
