Good Deal
Color: Obsidian Service provider: Unlocked Memory Storage Capacity: 128 GB Product grade: Renewed
I got this Google Pixel 8 that was previously owned and it was listed as Good in the description. Good I think is like the second best rating a used phone can get and states the unit might have some scratches on the body but fully functional. It looks great as far as I can tell and to save that much money and also help keep this phone from finding its way into a landfill makes this a good deal all around. The battery is beginning to show some age though. On a fast charge it can go to 100 % from below 10 % in about an hour. But, if I get into some battery intense gaming it does come off fairly fast. But for surfing the Internet or other low system resource app, the battery does a great job . Overall this was a good value purchase and I recommend this seller to anyone looking to purchase a good phone at a very good price. ... show more

Issues with touch screen after 2 and a half months, poor customer service
Color: Obsidian Service provider: Unlocked Memory Storage Capacity: 128 GB Product grade: Renewed
The phone was fine, but after 2.5 months of ownership it became hard to type. The best way to describe the issue is like what happens when you have big fingers, except my typing has been perfect up to that moment. I would restart the phone and the issue would go away, but then randomly come back. I contacted vendor DNCL-TECHZONE and they agreed to my return. They even agreed to a later return as I was traveling back from from abroad. However, at the moment the vendor received the phone back, they started claiming that the phone had no issues in their short testing, which may have not been enough to experience what I was experiencing. The vendor DNCL-TECHZONE did not get back to me to try to understand more about what was failing, they immediately said they'd be keeping a 20% restocking fee, which in their return policies is due to "abusing the return process", and if "if the customer misrepresents the condition of the product". This vendor is not offering me a solution. This vendor DNCL-TECHZONE is actually putting the burden of their product not working as expected on me, making me pay for a restocking fee on a phone that didn't operate properly when I had it, and potentially selling it to the next person who will run into these issues. I believe this is not the way to treat a customer. I have an open case with Amazon and will update this review as the case evolves. ... show more

Great Quality refurbished phone, Pixel 8 is a great balance of specs
Color: Obsidian Service provider: Unlocked Memory Storage Capacity: 256 GB Product grade: Renewed
Condition: Despite being graded "good" condition, the actual phone looked better than I had hoped. It was a great deal price-wise. The screen is basically flawless and with day-to-day use plus a screen protector, I can't tell the difference. Changing Phones: My last phone was the Pixel 6 Pro, and it was massive. The Pixel 8 is the perfect size for me, its battery lasts longer, and the camera experience is largely the same as my Pixel 6 pro. Because of Google's long term support, UI experience is currently the same. Porting over from Pixel to Pixel was quick and smooth. Battery: Way better on the Pixel 8 vs. Pixel 6 pro. Smaller screen plus, I believe, a newer tensor chip set helps. Any heavy mobile game will of course drain it very quickly. I'm able to play Where Winds Meet and Warframe mobile comfortably, but I haven't tested from 100 perc. battery. Camera: I use my phone to take pics of my kids, so I really didn't need the telephoto lens on the 6 pro, as cool as it was. The quality seems the same to me, but the only difference I notice is the video stabilizer. It seems to be slightly less smooth than the 6 pro's, but that could be a setting I haven't changed, or just a difference in model tier. Still a great stabilizer. Vendor: The phone was delivered way sooner than the projected date, in great condition. I would recommend this vendor. ... show more

Amazon Renewed Pixel 8 with an excellent-as-rated condition

This Pixel 8 is the latest in a series of Amazon Renewed cell phones that have all been very good, and the “Excellent” condition rating is easy to agree with here. There are no scratches or noticeable deficiencies, and the phone arrived in the expected renewed condition. Size was an important factor in choosing the Pixel 8 as a replacement for a Pixel 5 because it remains reasonably shirt pocket-friendly. It is somewhat heavier and the camera area is thicker than the Pixel 5, but neither difference is particularly troublesome. The combination of excellent condition and renewed pricing makes this a good value. ... show more

Nice phone wish didn't have curved screen edges.

When I bought I asked Google if the 8 had curved screen edges. Answer was no, flat. Well, not true, slight curve on edges.

Re-Cell Customer Service is a Joke
Color: Obsidian Service provider: Unlocked Memory Storage Capacity: 128 GB Product grade: Renewed
If I could give less that a start, I would give one point on the star. 1/5 of a start for the service! 1. I ordered a Pixel 8A but received a Samsung S25+ instead. Not a good look all around. Not a problem if he was out of Pixels and substituted a Samsung instead. But there was no explanation as to why the switch was initiated. 2. When I called the phone number, I got voice mail even after trying multiple times. 3. Initiated an email, and provided the order (invoice) number provided on the packing slip. Received a message asking for the exact information I had provided. 4. Decided to activate the Samsung because I need a phone for work and found out that Re-Cell never released the IMEI number, so I have no working phone. 5. Notified Re-Cell again and was instructed to either send the phone back to him or start the return process with Amazon. Welp, you cannot return a Samsung S25+ to Amazon when their records show a Pixel 8A was shipped. I had to send the phone back to Re-Cell and hope that a replacement would be sent. 6. Received an email from Re-Cell stating that they do not have an 8A to send so I would receive a credit back to my account for the amount paid. This all played out over the course of a week. I was left with an account locked by my carrier because I tried too many times to load the eSIM. This could have been easily addressed if Re-Cell was up front about the mis-shipped phone, the fact that they would not release the IMEI for the Samsung because they wanted it back. BOOOOO!!! and I don't mean Happy Halloween. ... show more

Not unlocked
Color: Obsidian Service provider: Unlocked Memory Storage Capacity: 128 GB Product grade: Renewed
The phone works fine with a T-Mobile MVNO (Speedtalk). However, when trying to add an eSIM for upcoming international travel, the phone returns an error when 'Checking network info' and instructs to contact T-Mobile, who won't do anything. I called Google, who confirmed the IMEI is locked to T-Mobile. T-Mobile says they can only unlock for the original owner who still has a T-Mobile account in good standing. So, if you're only planning to use domestically, probably good enough. If you plan to use a different carrier, even temporarily while traveling, you're going to be disappointed. ... show more
