  • The iPhone of Android
I honestly didn't think I wasn't going to like this phone at all, but with a few months of having this phone, I am really liking it. Battery may not be too great than I am used to.I get about 14 hours out of it with heavy usage. It charges super fast tho. Camera is really good. The software that renders the photos is great, better than the phone I used before. I came from a Samsung Note 8 and I like the weight distribution. Seems more equally weighted than it. I like the swiftness of the display. Not a big fan of notches because I think they are just a fad and will fade indefinitely. Google Assistant works great. It just flows harmoniously. Project Soli for the music controls works 80 percent of the time. (This is the feature that sold me). The only thing I wish this device did have is a fingerprint reader and a better battery. But for me the fast charging makes up for it. If you want a pure google experience without any bloatware from other android devices, this would be the one. ... show more

  • Not one of the best in the market!
This definitely is a good phone but I feel it does not do much justice to its price. Pros: 1. Camera. It obviously has a great camera and the pictures are undoubtedly awesome. So there is nothing I can complain about in this feature. However, a wide-angle camera would have been great and I do think it is necessary. 2. Have not experienced any "hangs" as of now. Its been 3-4 months now. Cons: 1. Battery life is really disappointing. If you are a heavy user, you might even have to charge it 2-3 times in a day which is such a bummer. 2. Phone does get hot while playing games. 3. Screen is not sufficiently bright enough and I have faced difficulty seeing the screen on a bright sunny day. 4. Drive storage is unlimited but only for compressed photos :( Verdict: You should really explore other options and preferably chose them over this. If you could settle for this, you could pay a bit more and buy an iPhone 11 Pro instead. Or else, OnePlus 7t which is priced decently and better than this phone in many aspects. If camera is all you want from a phone, then you can pick Pixel 4 XL. ... show more

  • Pixel 4, Is it as bad as they say?
What is there to say about the pixel? The camera is what shapes this phone. On top of that, you get a customizable Android experience. Of course, Oxygen OS gives you this as well. I upgraded to the 4 XL from a Pixel 1 and it's a new experience. The biggest downside to this phone is the missing audio jack. Although, this can be fixed with a USB-C to 3.5mm. I thought I'd miss the fingerprint sensor but face unlock is convenient. Let's talk about the battery since this is an issue for some. If you're considering this phone, get an XL you'll thank me. It has a bigger battery than the normal Pixel. It lasts for a long time from what others said. The battery isn't an issue with this phone. Along as you manage your phone use. This isn't a power user phone so if you sit on it for 10 hours, you might want to look at a Samsung. I purchase this phone got for USED. Amazon sends you a phone which makes you wonder if it's new. Go for a 64 GB phone to save the cash. If you need more space you can get Google One for extra space. For the camera, it's the bread and butter of this phone. You can easily get DSLR quality photos with this phone. Another good camera phone is the iPhone Pro Max 11. You can easily produce amazing photos with this. Look into moment lenses if you want to make a Super Camera. You should buy this phone if you care about: Newest Android Updates, Camera Quality, a 90hz display, powerful speakers, and a snappy GPU. Note: (If the battery is an issue the phone has an adaptive battery. Give it about a week's time and you should see better performance.) ... show more

  • Worst purchase I've ever made
Well I really wanted to like this phone, I've had androids all my life and the last pixel I had was the first one. Needless to say I was excited to get my hands on the pixel 4 xl and I couldn't pass up the $600 price point that I got it on sale for. The phone was great to start off with, good camera, decent battery life, love the 90Hz display. All this was good until about 5 months after my purchase I noticed the back of the phone starting to peel off. I thought this was very weird and apparently many other users have had the same problem and Google recommended to just get a replacement. I didn't because I thought it wasn't that big of a deal especially with a case on. A little over a month after that the phone's battery percentage was stuck at 94 so I restarted it and it is now stuck at 50%. I also troubleshooted this and many other users also have this issue and Google again said to get a replacement. A day later the phone shut off randomly and now will only not shut off if it is on the charger. All in all I've had nothing but issues with this phone only 6 months after purchase and I couldn't be more dissatisfied with the customer support. I'm planning on now getting an iPhone 11 which is something I thought I'd never do since I love android so much but this experience has skewed my judgment. If you want my advice, save yourself the $600 and DO NOT buy this phone or any other pixel device, all of them have had some sort of widespread hardware issues and Google's support does nothing to fix it. ... show more
