Well I have never had a pixel before and I've got to say I'm very pleased with this phone. In an era where they're trying to get it so thin that you can barely plug the thing in. I kind of like the little bit heavier and chunkier feel of this phone. I currently have a Samsung fold 7 sitting in my desk because it's too fragile and skinny. I've had to replace it twice through their insurance program because the screen goes out. Now this is a refurbished unit but to me it was just like a brand new phone. Just a brief background: I am coming from an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and honestly I've gotten quite bored with Apple's "walled garden" iOS. I have been eyeing foldable phones for a while and preferred a phone with clean android is, good support, and an unlocked bootloader if I wanted to use custom ROMs. This left one clear choice - the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold So, let's talk about the specs and features: The Tensor G5 Chip: initially, I was concerned about this one, as most high end Android devices stick with the tried and true Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. My concerns were definitely unwarranted. This chip was made by Google in partnership with TSMC (the same company that makes Apple’s chips). It’s estimated to be over 30% faster than the previous Tensor G4 chip and it is definitely no slouch. It runs buttery smooth for all the tasks I throw at it, primarily watching videos, writing emails, and web browsing. I have not tried gaming as I am not an avid gamer. Had I been looking for bleeding edge ray trace enabled gaming performance, id probably have gone with a Qualcomm equipped phone. Ingress protection - this device is IP68 rated. This is a big one. This phone is the first foldable in North America with this high of a rating. It’s fully dust-resistant, which was the "Achilles' heel" of previous folding phones. The "Gearless" Hinge: It works great and is rated to last over 10 years of folding ( tested for 200000 folds, or 50 times a day EVERY day for over 10 years. Weight & Bulk: it is definitely not light, weighing in at a hefty 258 grams. In comparison, my iPhone 16 pro Max is 227 grams. This means that this phone is 13% heavier. With all that said, I still do not find this phone overly heavy or distracting at all. It feels premium and is built solid as a tank. Display: the cover display measures in at a respectable 6.4" and is much wider than, say, a similar competitor such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. The inner (8") screens give up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, making it one of the best phones for outdoor use in direct sunlight. 3. Camera Performance - the cameras on the Fold not quite on par with the standard Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL, but this is expected in a foldable . For day to day nonprofessional uses, the camera is still quite good, but if you want the BEST cameras, id go with iPhone, Samsung, or Google pixel 10 pro. 4. Battery & Charging Capacity: the phone has a 5,015mAh battery. Coming from an iPhone, I found no issues with battery life, which says a lot considering apple products always have great batteries. This Google device holds its own PixelSnap (Qi2) : this phone has magnetic wireless charging (similar to MagSafe), which makes it easy to snap on accessories and chargers. This may not seem like a lot, but once you get used to it, you will never want to go without it. I went with an unlocked renewed version of this phone as it's been on the market for about 6 months now, and I didn't want to use my phone carrier to upgrade as I anticipate using my carrier upgrade perks to get the rumored iPhone foldable at some point in the future. Let me say, the phone I received was immaculate. I literally could find no indications of wear or prior use. The third party seller, SoonerSoft Electronics, shipped the phone overnight and it was received promptly the following day. I will definitely add this seller as a favorite! Final words: This phone is wonderful for tech enthusiasts, people looking for a capable multitasking phone, using integrated AI tools, and social /multimedia consumption. Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Renewed... Even in "Excellent" condition I wasn't sure about this, but it was the second week of August of 2026, just a few days before the Google 11 event and there weren't many choices, so I closed my eyes and put it in the cart It arrived in a couple of days in a plain, cell phone sized box. I opened the box and the phone was shrink wrapped onto a cardboard backer in a well padded box with a generic USB C to C cable. The phone was in perfect condition. No marks or scratches anywhere on the body or screens. It turned right on with about an 80% charge already on it. Went through set up and everything worked. Great opportunity to save about 50% on the cost of the phone and all I gave up was a box marked Google, a white cable and some paperwork I would have thrown away anyway.
