Description

The Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac is an off-of-the road tire specially designed for drivers who want yea-round traction, reliable handling, and durability. It features the Tractive Groove technology composed of highly angled center tread blocks and zigzag microgrooves which helps improve traction in deep mud and snow. To complement this are the thousands of biting edges that strengthen the grip of the tire on the road. The tire's durability is further enhanced by the sidewall's rim protector which prevents unexpected elements on the road from impacting the shield wheels. For drivers who frequently travel on deep mud and snow, they can have the optional studs for the added traction. The Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac is branded with the Mountain/Snowflake symbol which means it has passed the auto industry's severe snow requirements.

  • These are good tires if you are looking for a cross between ...
I got a set of these from Tire Rack a while ago. These are good tires if you are looking for a cross between a loud mud tire and an All-Terrain. As with most tires, they are quiet at first, then get louder after 12,000 miles or so. Be sure to rotate them (front to back is ok), or they will get out of round a little and you may get some steering wheel wobble & more road noise. They are GREAT on very soft/deep sand (even without airing down) - the side sipes really work well in deep sand/mud but don't contact the road. Mud doesn't clog in them as easily as regular AT tires. If you use them until they get pretty thin, you can probably get 50,000 miles out of them. The first 70% of the tread is fairly soft, so it only lasts about 25,000 miles, but the last 30% of the tread is very hard and lasts an additional 25,000 miles. Unfortunately, you do lose some off and on-road traction once the treads get down to the last 25%. It would be great to have 2 sets (one newer to go off-roading, and another set that is more worn to use on the street). ... show more

  • Highly impressed, and my in-law is buying some for his vehicle now
Nicest grip in 4x4, and way quieter than expected.. They have noice control lines that the tire guy was showing me. He said it's not a common design in tires like these, and even considering offering the brand in his shop
