Replace your tensioner and water pump belt as long as you are doing this. This seems to be a perfect replacement for my factory belt I go 90k miles from, naturally YMMV. Before attempting this, check out the videos out there on using a zip tie to aid in the installation of this belt and your water pump belt. A friend with Skinny arms is also helpful. You will want a long fan belt wrench to put this on a Mazda. My car is much quieter with this new belt, although I think the tensioner was the primary culprit. My top bushing was gone, so it made sense to replace both at the same time. The water belt pump was an obvious choice as well, so I wouldn’t have to tear the car down twice. ... show more

Worked perfectly for my 2016 Mazda 6. Installation was straight forward, took about 45 minutes to do both belts (water pump and the serpentine belt). Solved the squeaking and squealing issue the vehicle was having.

Belt was too short. I broke the tensioner trying to get it on. $160 tensioner and a different belt from the parts store and I was good to go. New belt went on as expected. Caution, it appears the Amazon vehicle fit tool is inaccurate. This cos me $160 and a bunch of time.

CAUTION: If you are applying this to a 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring, buy the Goodyear 1060382 instead. Goodyear and subsequently Amazon have this listed incorrectly on their respective websites. If you attempt to use this belt, you will have a very difficult time putting it on since it's slightly shorter than the correct one, and you may prematurely wear out your tensioner if you do manage to pry it on. ... show more
