I used the screws that came with this product. and they do not hold properly. My splitter came apart on the interstate and was destroyed. We used small stainless nuts bolts and washers on my daughter’s. And her’s is sturdy and solid. It’s an awesome product if you mount it that way.

My item does not match the product detailed for 3 reasons. 1. My item is all glossy black, 2. The mid section did not look the same from the product shots, & 3.
