These things work great!!! my truck has a 2/4 drop and I keep ripping the ends off the plastic deflector on the bottom front bumper when I park and go over the wheel stops in parking places for example. when I back out, the plastic drags and rips the ends off. So I've replaced these many times. Normally I'd go to Chevy and get them, but WOW, talking about bending you over in price for one of these plastic things. For the low price for a box of these, I got 2!!! They look and work just as good as the ones I have gotten at the Chevy dealer!!! ... show more

These are HARD plastic clips that break readily if you don't insert them just right. It's a tricky procedure that I'm sure is easy on a factory floor after you've done it several hundred times with the correct tools. GM obviously used these because, again, in a factory setting they are a quick, inexpensive, frangible fasteners, designed to fail if the air deflector gets torn away rather than allow the supporting structure (your bumper) to get damaged. I'm going to try again by 1) removing the bumper entirely before attaching the air deflector, and 2) using nylon bolts and nuts, something too slow and expensive for an assembly line but probably a better long-term solution. ... show more

Did not work for my application. I was installing a aftermarket hood air deflector on my 2008 Chev Express van. The clips require the pin to engage a small plastic step in the base. You have to drill a very precise hole since the body does not really expand much. Installing the body of the clip in the hood and installing the pin through the hood deflector does not work. Locking mechanism does not catch. I did not realize how difficult this job was with these clips. Several damaged trying to install. The price was not much so maybe some day I will get to use these again. Too late to return, bought them on sale hoping for a cool day to install. I said to my self, “How difficult could this be?” Well now I know.... ... show more

These things are stupid yet brilliant at the same time. You literally don't know you need them until something pops off one of your vehicles. They're also holding on the mesh for the screen door at a friends house.
