I've been wanting a metal forge for a long time and this Gongyi forge has finally scratched that itch. This complete set is almost everything you need to start melting down aluminum cans in your backyard. Here’s what I like and don’t like about this GONGYI furnace: **************************************************** LIKES *Complete Set- other than a propane tank and some additional safety equipment you really do get everything you need to start melting metal with this kit. Aside from the furnace itself you also get a crucible, tongs for carrying the crucible, high-quality leather gloves, a gas hose, teflon tape, and even an ingot casing mold for pouring the melted metal into a nice bar. All of it fits neatly into a handy cloth carrying case. *High-Quality Components- The furnace itself is somewhat heavy and feels high quality. It’s made of thick metal and feels like it’ll hold up to lots of abuse. It’s got a sturdy lid and thick white insulation inside that does a good job of holding the heat in. This thing gets hot fast! The gloves are nice and thick and the crucible is also thick and feels high quality. The tongs could probably be a little better but that’s an easy upgrade. *Accessories- The little accessories like the gloves, the carrying case, and the ingot mold are a really nice touch. *Adjustable Burner- the burner is adjustable and you’ll need to tinker with it to get the flame right. Once you do though, it works great! *Value- at the time of this review the price of this kit is $379 and in my opinion, it’s a fantastic value considering everything you get and the quality of all the individual components. For a hobbyist or first-timer like me, this furnace is fantastic. **************************************************** DISLIKES *Instructions- the only minor complaint I have about this set is the instructions are somewhat lacking. There are very basic assembly instructions but not a lot of info on how to use everything. Fortunately, there are tons of videos out there on how to set up and use a furnace like this. It’s a minor gripe for such a good set. **************************************************** NOTES *Get More PPE- Though you do get gloves, everything I’ve read indicates you should alsu use a face mask, goggles and possibly a respirator based on what types of metals you’re working with. **************************************************** Overall I couldn’t be happier with this kit and I would definitely recommend it! ... show more

A very nice assortment of all your needed accessories. The stainless furnace is of great quality and comes with your connections. I'm not sure I will use the traveling bag much and the base of the furnace has a rubber ring for the base edging but I can't get that thing on for the life of me and I wonder how it would hold up to the heat anyways. I do like how they have your melting points etched on the side. Awesome little kit to get me started on this expieramental journey! ... show more
