Ok, hear me out. A lot of kids nowadays pass the time with their phone and online and while they are doing something and their mind is being stimulated it's kind of like the difference between using a keyboard and writing. When you're scrapbooking, your mind is engaged with ideas but then you actually have your hands involved. You get the idea in your mind and then you literally see the results in your hands. It always gives me a mental boost to see the final project after going through all the possibilities. And it's always fun to see the unique results everyone will have. I made a baby scrapbooking for my niece's daughter, and I'm planning on gifting this for her so that she can also do something fun. The best part about scrapbooking is that you can do whatever you want, it can be anything you want and enjoy, be it sports teams, kpop, pets, a photojournal or a manifesting journal. This is a great beginner set and it's a great addition to the christmas haul I'll be sending to her. Hope she gets the scrapbooking bug, too.

At the time of this review, price was set at 16.99. So yes this is a smaller journal, but I knew that when I went with this one. It is going to be used for a scrapbook to go with a mini instant print camera. For our intended use, this set is perfect. It comes with a variety of pieces to decorate and color with and the notebook pages are unlined, thicker paper. There's photo frames and a large variety of stickers to decorate with. There is markers and gel pens as well. And the 16.99, it's really a great little bundle. It does come in a giftable box if gifting is intended. Maybe not so much a "journal" set as a mini scrapbook set but either way, I'm happy!

the tape doesn't stick well but the stickers do, -2 for that, how frustrating for a kid to get their set to find half of the sticky things don't work. tape is huge for a kid -- must be sticky or worthless unfortunately. -2 stars for the tape, but the planner itself is very cute, tons and tons of planning/journaling. fun for kids

This DIY journal set is adorable! It comes with so many accessories for crafting: journal, stickers, cardboard frames, pens, tape, glue, etc. Note that the journal itself has blank pages (not lined) for crafting like in a scrapbook. This set is a great purchase - the crafty person in your life will be really happy! The pens in this set are really nice, too; they seem like fancier pens you’d pay a lot for at a craft store. This set would make an excellent birthday or Christmas gift. I highly recommend it.

Got this for a soon to be 9 year old girl. Very cute! Sturdy box with journal, paper clips, markers, stickers, tapes and photo frames etc. I think most girls will like this kind of stuff. I think it will be good to encourage girls to write!
