I was really surprised at the very nice quality of this frame. The glass was crystal clear, no scratches, and clean, I didn't have to clean it which is so unusual when purchasing frames. The frame itself was in perfect condition and just the right balance between a shiny and mat finish to the metal, very attractive. I didn't use the provided mat since the photo I was placing in it was the full 12x12, but the included mat was a very nice weight with a perfectly beveled center cut-out for a smaller picture. It was packaged extremely well with two sets of corner protectors, first cardboard protectors which were then covered with foam protectors, shrink-wrapped, then placed in a heavy duty cardboard box. This helped the frame and glass arrive in perfect condition despite the fact that Amazon packers tossed it in a bigger box along with another heavy box I had ordered of 6 bottles of salad dressing! Boo on whoever at Amazon packed up my order but yay for whoever originally packaged this frame so that it arrived safely despite another heavy box being tossed on top of it. The silver color pops just a bit more than regular aluminum and makes the product look a bit more expensive than it actually is. It was very quick to put in pictures and the corner clamps work well. We bought over 20 of these in various sizes to refurbish a wall display (pictured above) and they worked very well. Frames are very nicely packaged and all arrived in perfect order ready to hang. To answer two questions about the picture: laser level was used to project lines on wall, spacing is 1-1/4" between all sides of frames. The "family" script was purchased at a gift shop (Magnolia) in Waco, TX. There are similar signs available on Amazon. Buy one without screw holes and use straight pins to hang the sign for a very clean look. Sizes in our display are 11x14, 8x10, and 5x7. Hard to tell in the picture but against a gray wall, these give a very sleek modern look. Frames marked as "tabletop" also hang on the wall. The back is cleverly designed so that the easel stand can be clipped under a corner spring or left free to use on tabletop. When clipped in back it does not cause the frame to stick out from the wall as many combo frames do. Virtually the only thing I wish these frames had is non-glare non-UV glass, but that would also raise the price significantly. Highly recommend Golden State Art metal frames. We purchased a couple of extra in each size so that we could be sure to keep the wall display consistent as pictures change. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommended. ... show more

Pay attention to how you are removing the clips on the back (holding the back of frame mount). Other than getting those back into place properly, I think it’s a nice and simple modern style frame.
