Each purchase includes the following: 10 Karat Gold Testing Solution 14 Karat Gold Testing Solution 18 Karat Gold Testing Solution 22 Karat Gold Testing Solution Silver Testing Solution Platinum Testing Solution 2x2 Black Testing Stone with non-slip back, can be used hundreds of times. Detailed instruction booklet. The gold testing solutions will allow you to determine the karat rating of your gold. (Results will be either 0-10k, 10k, 14k, 18k, or 22k-24k.) The silver testing solution will allow you to determine if your silver is either .999 pure silver or .925 sterling silver. The platinum testing solution will allow you to determine if your object is real platinum or palladium. Each bottle contains enough solution for 30-40 tests. Note, 30-40 drops does not fill the bottle completely. May not appear full but each bottle does contain 30-40 drops of solution.

All bottles barely have any liquid in the. I just did 3 tests in 14K and am out now. I did 3 tests in 10K and am almost out. I would not recommend because they don’t fill the bottles. Very misleading!!! They offer more to be sent but this shouldn’t even be needed. It says on the card they sent that each bottle should have 30-40 drops. They definitely DO NOT! I’m very disappointed and don’t feel like I should have to request more drops, the bottles should come full or make them much smaller. Again, very misleading. ... show more

Works as it should. I was hoping box/kit to hold everything upright. Even though sealed, the little bottles had slight leaking on 2 bottles. Otherwise, it is a fully functional test kit.

With gold and silver prices where they are right now, I decided it was the perfect time to sell some of my jewelry and collector coins—and this kit was exactly what I needed! The instructions were clear, simple, and easy to follow, even for a beginner like me. All it takes is a light scratch of your jewelry, coin, or other gold/silver item on the testing stone. Then, starting with the lower karat solutions, you apply a drop of acid and move up until you find the point where the scratch mark dissolves. The kit comes with the perfect amount of solution, and I still have plenty left after testing several items. I was thrilled to discover how many of my pieces turned out to be genuine gold and silver.     • You get what you pay for. This kit isn’t worth it.
Not a lot of fluid in these little containers - about half full at best. The padding for the stone was stuck to the instructions so that’s a strike. The kit barely works and I suspect it’s the shelf life coming into play - yeah these chemical have a shelf life. No neutralizer chemical either.
