Each purchase includes the following: 10 Karat Gold Testing Solution 14 Karat Gold Testing Solution 18 Karat Gold Testing Solution 22 Karat Gold Testing Solution Silver Testing Solution Platinum Testing Solution 2x2 Black Testing Stone with non-slip back, can be used hundreds of times. Detailed instruction booklet. The gold testing solutions will allow you to determine the karat rating of your gold. (Results will be either 0-10k, 10k, 14k, 18k, or 22k-24k.) The silver testing solution will allow you to determine if your silver is either .999 pure silver or .925 sterling silver. The platinum testing solution will allow you to determine if your object is real platinum or palladium. Each bottle contains enough solution for 30-40 tests. Note, 30-40 drops does not fill the bottle completely. May not appear full but each bottle does contain 30-40 drops of solution.

    • Works well — but remember, these are acids
The kit works and does what it's supposed to do for testing precious metals. One thing I would emphasize is that these are acid testing solutions, so treat them accordingly. Wear gloves, protect your work surface, and wash your hands thoroughly after using them. Don't wear clothing you care about while testing either. The solutions can discolor or damage materials they contact, including clothing and surfaces. A little care and a suitable work area go a long way. As a testing kit, I've had no problems with it. It’s easy to use, the instructions are very direct forward, but not for testing gold sand.

    • Beware Before Purchasing!!!!!
Beware solutions included have very little and are only filled 1/4 of bottle space. Misleading. Also solution was inaccurate for something that was not gold and it tested positive as gold. This company does not allow returns or replacements. Waste of $20. Live and learn.

Bought this kit after inheriting some jewelry and a few collector coins from my uncle and wanted a simple way to check what was real. I looked at several other testing kits and most of them were either overpriced or packed with a lot of unnecessary extras I didn’t need. This one was much more affordable and had exactly what I was looking for. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, even if you’ve never tested metals before. I only had a handful of items to test, so the size of this kit was perfect. I was honestly surprised to find that most of the pieces were real gold and silver. After my first test, I wanted to make sure I did everything correctly, so I reached out to the company through their website with a photo of my results and got a response within 24 hours. There is only a few drops worth of testing acid in bottles. The silver acid didn’t even have enough for 3 drops. Do not recommend it.value for your money is rated 2-3 out of 10.
