I had high hopes for the Presidium Multi Tester III as an all-in-one instrument for testing diamonds and moissanites, but it left me thoroughly disappointed. 😞 First off, it's not as user-friendly as it claims to be. The instructions are complex, and it takes forever to get the hang of it. Plus, the device itself is bulky and awkward to handle. But the real letdown is its accuracyβ€”or lack thereof. It frequently gives false readings, leaving me questioning the authenticity of my gemstones. It's a nerve-wracking experience, to say the least. Considering the hefty price tag, I expected much better performance. Unfortunately, the Presidium Multi Tester III doesn't live up to the hype. Accurately differentiates between real and immatation diamonds and moisonite. Could be a little more solid for the price. Really hard to get a good reading. Tried to hold on an angle and that helps. A lot of my diamonds are colored which don't read on the pen. They go up to moisonite and stop. I am happy overall. ... show more

Despite what you read in some of the one-start reviews, this tester works and works very well. We have several of them. We test way more diamonds than most people or businesses in a lifetime, and it works fine. I suspect that those who claim that diamonds test moissanite are probably testing 2 or 3 point stones, they may be dirty, or they may actually be Moissanites. We occasionally come across Moissanites, but they are not common. This is a good tester, don't be swayed by those negative nellies. ... show more

This review is based on using it for a day. I will probably get better at it when I start using it more often. I use it to test loose stones and also jewelry. It work well, but you can get false readings especially on small stones. It also it difficult to use on stone cuts where there it not much of the flat area. It works well for identifying glass and diamond. I will probably buy another tester that can be used for identifying other stones like Garnet, Topaz, etc. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. i was trying to communicate with the support before i give my feedback hoping to resolve my concern, this product is pricey, i was actually expecting this to be solid material not easy to crack, because whe i put the batteries in i notice how easy or crackable it is, and i notice that there is a power input that is not included in the package since its pricey, and when i used it the tip almost cut or broken coz its like softy tip metal, so i check the products manual tru barcode, so the protip is replaceable meaning for this price there should have been extra tip just incase it get damage, i should have chose the lesser pricey one they look the same but i still bought this hoping and expecting this to be worth the money, ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was skeptical to purchase due to other reviews and the price. But glad I did. Purchased on 4/27 and still working. Must remember clean tip and stone surface prior to use and tilt at an angle....read instructions. Not 100% all the time but just test stone 3 times to verify reading. I would reccomend. This does seem to test moissanite. This model does Not come with power cord but can be purchased seperately. It also takes batteries (AAA x2) so power cord is not an issue. ... show more
