We ordered a new Christmas tree, and it arrived looking shorter and wider than we expected somehow. We stood it on a box, which gave it the height it needed, and it was fine. However, the tree skirt we had was just laughably inadequate to cover the bottom of the tree, the box, and the floor under the tree for gifts to be arranged on. I needed a shiny or sparkly silver tree skirt, and I needed it to be huge. When I was shopping for one, I was appalled at the prices I was seeing. There’s no way I would ever pay $100 for a Christmas tree skirt, even if it is gigantic. I came across this beautiful fabric and decided to give it a try. It’s perfect! I wish I had taken a picture. Now, I don’t know how to thread a needle or sew anything. I just unfolded this humongous silky sheet and loosely wrapped it around the base of the tree. I kind of tucked it in here and there. It didn’t need to be perfect because there were gifts all over it. I had worried that the edge would be rough and frazzled, but it wasn’t at all. I’m so proud of this.

Its cheap fabric, so it’ll perform cheaply. It frays a LOT. I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re looking for clean cuts, but for me it got the job done.
