This is a pretty 18k gold plated cross necklace by Atzeste. I got the Rose gold plated metal type. It has an 18-inch small oval link chain with a two-inch extender added to it to make it a total of 20 inches in length. It is the perfect size for me because I have a thicker neck. But 18 inches is more or less an average length of a necklace or chain. Maybe a little longer than the average. And then you get that extra two inches which is nice. I noticed in the reviews the comments about the chain being too small. But I was thinking it was slightly bigger than average and has slightly bigger size jump rings than all my other daintier necklaces. Especially, if they are quality made necklaces. (Although, as you can see in the last picture, I already managed to get a tiny knot in it) But that was easier to take out than my smaller chained necklaces believe me! What I like about this chain and pendant is I can take the pendant off and on the chain. I can't do that with my other cross necklaces because the jump rings on the extender part of the chain are too large and the cross pendant too small or doesn't have a bail on it and it can't slip through. But this one does. It not only has a bail, but it is a large bail that easily slips on and off the chain. It has what looks like to be about an10mm lobster claw clasp on it. And another feature I like about this chain is at the end of the extender chain they have their logo initials on an end tag that looks really pretty and professional. You can also see a logo on the bail, and I think on the lobster claw clasp. However, and unfortunately there is no gold-plated metal purity mark or stamp on the chain, lobster claw clasp, or pendant. The cross pendant is prettier in person, and I was surprised at how much I liked it once I saw it because I wasn't really sure how I felt about it on the listing. I don't normally get birthstone or colored cross pendants. One thing I saw confusion about in the reviews was whether or not this had actual birthstones or not. The pendant is made with cubic zirconia and is set in a 18k gold plated or Rose gold plated back. They have the color of some birthstones but not all. That is if the colors are all the same on each cross pendant that is sold. On my cross there are three light green Peridot looking colors that represent August's birthstone. There is also two purple or Amethyst colors that can represent Feburary. The red in the middle can stand for a Garnet which is January. But the last one is a light pink. And there are no pink birthstone colors. Some months have several birthstones though. There might be a second or third birthstone color that could be pink for one of those months that have more than one birthstone. The pendant looks to be about 3/4 of an inch in length. I think it is very pretty and worth the price.

Snake chains are my favorite kind of chain. They are just simple and easy to wear alone, with other styles of chains for a layered look or the a small pendant added. I have silver ones in multiple lengths and wish this one came in longer lengths as well. I generally wear it to work when I wear one of my company polo shirts as they don’t look good with longer necklaces and the shorter length gives just a pop of shine at the neckline. When going out I’ve used it to layer with a longer chain. ***I’m not sure why other Viners left poor reviews except maybe because they didn’t pay attention to what exactly they were ordering. It CLEARLY states in the description that it’s dainty and has a thickness of 1mm. I should note that it’s only 17” not 18” as advertised, which isn’t an issue for me. I’m also mildly irritated that the other reviews stated that it’s best for a young girl as I’m 51 and love this type of chain. It’s exactly as advertised so just make sure that is what you are looking for*** It’s not really in my budget to buy real gold chains at this time and this has been a great purchase so far. An old chain I had tarnished after quite a long time. I bought another that tarnished after wearing twice. So far, I’ve worn this a dozen times at least and there are zero signs of tarnish. The price is great and I just noticed when writing this review that there is currently $5 coupon so I added it to my cart. It never hurts to have a back up. Please excuse my picture of it in my PJs, but I wanted to show the length.
