Really like this drill guide. Very solid. Doesn’t seem to have any play in it. Had to purchase 9 inch bits to reach wood with smaller gauge bits, but I suspect that’s a common thing with these kinds of drill guides. Very fair price for a very solid piece of equipment. Definitely recommend. PS - I have other tools from GoingMake and like them all so far. Well made at fair cost.

I purchased this guide after buying, testing and immediately returning the Kreg drill guide. This guide locks securely into 90 and other angles, which is crucial. It’s beefy and comes 95% assembled out of the well packaged box. This guide does not use an easily lost chuck key- the chuck tightens much the same as a cordless drill, but a full size wrench is included if you want to really crank it down. Pictured is my set up to drill dog holes in the center of my workbench. The clamps weren’t totally necessary, but they did keep the guide from sliding on the smooth varnished MDF surface. This guide won’t replace a drill press, but its value is in taking a squared up drill and bit to a remote surface, and this guide does it very well.

I originally tried to cancel the order because it was arriving late. I purchased one from Lowe’s that was $30 more expensive. When I received this one from Amazon, I opened it to compare the two before returning it. As it turned out, this one was far superior in quality to the Lowe’s model. So I kept it and gave the Lowe’s model to a friend.

The media could not be loaded. I think it's a heavy duty drill press, it comes almost ready to use, you just have to assemble the handles. The 1/2 inch chuck is by far the better of the segment due to the quick release. The base size is perfect and almost perfect rounded, the bits feels so firm without wabble. I'm totally satisfied. Well priced item I recommend
