The tree itself is nice. And the LED lights and all the different colors and patterns are really cool. The main thing I'm upset about is that the app does not work. I installed the FO remote app that it tells me to, and it will not let me select any of the options. It glitches out each time I click a button. I tried restarting my phone and re-downloading the app, but it didn't help. Idk if it's only this tree in particular, or if it is the same for all. I'm thinking it's something wrong with the app itself. But this ability was one of the main reasons I picked this tree. I'm torn whether I want to go through the hassle of trying to replace it, or just bite the bullet and keep it. At least everything else about it seems to work like it's supposed to.... I do have one bulb that flickers and it's driving me nuts lol ... show more

This tree (6 ft) is a very good value for the price we paid ($229.99). Tree looks good and lights are bright. The app is good, but I had an issue granting permissions. I had to go into my settings and grant permissions manually. Once I did this, the app works on my Samsung S10+. You can change the settings manually using the control box. Best of all, it remembers the settings after being turned off. I use a separate plug switch to turn on/off. Keep in mind that this is not a $2k Balsam Hill tree, but for the price, it is a good value. ... show more

What I liked You can change the colors or the tree with the click of a button. A good wide variety of color options. Really great if you are keeping the tree up all year for all the different holidays. What I did not like When you open out the tree and fluff it you realize there could still be more bristles to fill out the tree. Just kind of leaves you to fill it in with garland to help fill the spots. The first time I bought the tree half of the lights on the second layer did not work. At first they said that I should just buy my own lights to fill it in. Kinda rude, the lights are the one reason I bought the tree. They ended up refunding the first tree and now all is good with the second order. ... show more

    • These lights hurt my eyes

Look, the tree is great. It’s just the right size, super easy to assemble, and permit! Yay! I love all of the funky lighting modes. HOWEVER: If you wanted a tree that can do multicolored lights AND white ones, this is not the tree for you. White lights on this tree are actually blue. All of the colors in the app are slightly off from what shows up on the tree. EVEN WORSE: the light … frame rate (?) is horrible. When I look at the pretty lights and move my eye to look anywhere else, you can suddenly see the separate RGB components of the colors. The tree is fine enough to keep, but some annoyances: this thing is 5 and half feet tall at best, most definitely NOT six feet tall. There are NO white lights, which is a disappointment. The seller forgot to ship it until I complained, so it came over a week later than expected- which meant if I didn’t keep the tree I was going to have none at all this year. The light color and sequence variety via the attached control is decent. Make sure you load the tree with decorations because the bottom half’s branches are very sparse, despite spreading them out a lot. ... show more

One of the things I didn't like was that there were no clear or white lights of all the colors available. Also some of the color combinations were pretty ugly. It did go together very easily, and the app you can download for your phone works great. The tree itself is really beautiful. The lights are terrible. There is no “white” setting and the only way to have the multi-color scheme is if they are flashing. Headache making. I’m keeping the tree because it’s too heavy to lug to the store for a return but I’m putting different lights on it.

    • Make sure the plugs of the 3 sections are inserted properly.

I was very frustrated with the lack of instructions and the lack of a web site to get better instructions since my lights would not come on. They don't tell you this but the green plugs for the three sections have a notch so that they can be properly connected. It is not very visible and you can force the caps to screw in with the wrong polarity. All lights will not work at all if the plugs of one or more of the plugs is reversed. ... show more
