First thing I noticed about this tire gauge is how long it is! It is over a foot long. I suppose that makes it suitable for very large tires (big trucks, etc). I used it to measure pressure on a SUV and a bicycle and it worked quite well. No fiddling with the connection to the tire valve to get it to measure accurately, unlike the small $3 tire gauges that you see at auto store checkout stands. There is a key ring at the end and it comes with 4 spare tire valve covers and a plastic carrying case. The head of this tire gauge allows you to connect it to the tire valve in two different directions - one pointing away from you and the other pointing sort of toward you at about a 45 degree angle. This did NOT fit in the glove compartment of my car (SUV), so that is something to consider when buying this tire gauge. I will have to keep it in the trunk or somewhere else in the car. It is also quite heavy - maybe would work for rudimentary self defense if you have to use it on a lonely road on a dark night?? LOL. I think this would be a good tire gauge to buy if you have several different kinds of vehicles or if you drive large trucks routinely. It's probably overkill if you have a small sedan or small SUV. It makes a nice addition to the equipment that I regularly have in my car.

this Godeson gauge is a remarkably accurate and reproducible instrument for $12.00. I tested (compared with other gauges) in the 20-30 psi range, 40-60 range and up to 80-100 range. Other gauges were the cheapy pencil gauges from Lowe’s that sell for .99, a Slime dial gauge, several Milton pencil type gauges, my beloved orange KTM gauge and another gauge made in Germany (my gold standard I guess). Whereas a lot of the cheaper lighter weight gauges require precise consistency on how you take a reading (indicated pressure can vary by 5-10 psi depending on how quickly you depress the valve stem, how firmly you depress it or the angle of the gauge to the stem). The Godeson gauge gave the same reading whether you pressed hard or soft, or if the angle was off slightly (as long as you had a good seal) or even if you were sipping your morning coffee while taking the reading. It’s a very solid tool, does not feel cheap and I expect it to maintain its accuracy as long as it’s not abused and taken care of.

Have you ever fiddled with one of those small stick air gauges? This is the solution. While you still may have to get down low to check inflation, this gauge allows you to put enough pressure on the air stem to get a good reading. All of the materials are well crafted and sturdy. The handle offers a nice grip and a place for your thumb to rest so you don't slip while testing. I used it on a SUV not a truck with a double tire configuration so I can't comment on the angled fitting. The gauge measure bar pops out and resets easily. If you're going the manual test way, this works great.

... I finally have a tire pressure gauge I feel good about. A long, long time ago, I was a truck tire repairman and always had access to good gauges at work. Good quality ones for car tires (lower pressure requirements) weren't hard to find in stores years ago. Lately, maybe I've been looking in the wrong places, but all I've found over the past several years are cheap-feeling gauges with wobbly plastic reading bars. This gauge feels solid in every way. Since I'll probably only be using this gauge on my pickup and my wife's car, I may not need the high pressure capacity of this gauge, but that's okay. I would recommend it to family and friends. An extra few bucks spent on a reliable gauge (which I hope this will prove to be) to keep tires properly inflated can lead to saving an awful lot of money in tire replacements.

Accurate and heavy duty. The length helps bending over so much. The handle is the best! Fits in your whole hand so you get a bullseye on that stem. This is a great gauge. Highly recommended.

This is a heavy duty tire gauge and it works great. I work on small engines and power equipment like zero turn mowers and UTVs and some times getting to the valve stem can be a pain but this gauge makes it easy. The numbers on the stick that pops out are engraved in to the metal stem and are pretty easy to read but I used a red paint marker across the stem and the just wiped off the excess to fill them in. Definitely a must have if you work on large trucks, cars, or power equipment where sometimes it can be hard to get to a valve stem with a traditional tire pressure gauge.
