I was nervous reading some of the negative reviews, so much so, that I decided to buy another more expensive soap. This one came, and after using the new soap base, I realized I should have bought more. So I ended up using this package as well. I am not sure what people are complaining about. Some said it is too clumpy, but it worked just as well as the other more expensive soap that I purchased. If it is clumpy, the obvious thing to do is stick in the microwave for a little longer. The soap doesn't really have a strong scent, which I like. I was able to mix with scented oil. It mixed well and dried up pretty quick. It lathered and maintained its shape. It was my first attempt, I was happy with it. The price was right and easy to use.

I used this for the first time making pour and mold soaps. It took a while to melt on the double boiler and I don’t think it would ever melt in the microwave. You have to work fast but the great part is that soaps are ready to come out of molds in no time at all. It only took an hour or less for it to completely harden. It’s alright. Not easy to work with as it hardens really really fast. Smell isn’t that pleasant to me. What I also didn’t like is that it didn’t have the list of ingredients on the soap.

I’ve been doing melt and pour soap for 20+ years and have never encountered anything like this. When I sliced it, it crumbled. When I melted it, there were small chunks that refused to melt, even when smashed with a fork. On my first try when I added 5 seconds, it grew a skin on the top but the soap wasn’t melted. The final product started to set immediately and acted like it contained gelatin? The remaining product peeled off the measuring cup like cheap rubber. I tossed it after the second batch. Total waste of money! Really sad because I bought this to do a spring break project with the boys and it was a disaster. Definitely returning to my original supplier. ... show more

I used this for homemade melt and pour soap. It had a slight weird odor, but I was adding my own scent to it anyways so that didn't matter. It was SUPER moisturizing! I've never liked using bar soap bc it left me feeling drier and with a weird film on my skin, BUT...with this soap I didn't even have to use lotion after I bathed.
