Charging my MacBook Pro while writing this review at 100 watts is so awesome. Not being tethered to a wall is super convenient. This new unit has lots of awesome new features. I love that I can connect it to the new app and monitor charge profiles, battery health and remotely toggle the ports on and off. My favorite by far is being able to charge the unit directly from a wall outlet at 600 watts, over double what I got off the older version. I also love the build quality. I have seen other units from other brands and the Goal Zero units are by far built to a higher standard.

I bought this 700 since I have a full size CPAP machine with the humidifier that I need when I go camping. Was able to charge multiple other devices over night (phone, hearing aid, watch) while I was sleeping and it got down to under 50%. It charges fast, which is why I bought it over the older 1000. Not cheap but if you compare to CPAP batteries that you can't really use the humidifier with due to capacity, you're ahead of the game and you can charge other things. I store it in my work office and can use it to back up computers, modems, etc. in case of a power outage. I also have an older Yeti 3000 that I love. Edited because I am on my third 700. Customer service has been great replacing the first one that I used a few times and the second one that I never used until I tested it for a camping trip at which point it died. Both units let smoke out so there is no point in trying to reset. So we will see how this third one works. Hope there were simple engineering problems that are sorted by now. My Yeti 3000 is like 6 years old and I have used it a lot with no issues. I trust the brand and my experiences with them are positive. Maybe I had some bad luck with the 700.

My original review was not a positive one because our system quit working and we could not get any customer service response while they were doing some kind of system switch over, but since the original review they have gotten back to me and they have made it right. They have sent us a brand new battery and the information to return the old battery without any cost to us. They have been great with rectifying the issue. Was good until it stopped working right under a year and we have been trying to get a hold of customer service with Goal Zero for three months and cannot get a response. We have opened 2 tickets over the past couple of months and tried calling. When calling, on hold for over 30 mins and then the call drops, this has happened 7 or 8 times.

The newer Yeti 700 device is exactly what I wanted. One need….but not the only need. I purchased a skylight when it came on the market and used my, sheltered in the Jeep, Yeti 1500x for my fridge to power the light, which kept the light directly adjacent to the vehicle. Our camp site area is quite large and moving the light closer to the activities is an advantage. Full light brightness for a longer is duration Wins as well as better weather protection than earlier models. Also, in preparation for summer storm season, I can quickly move, recharge this device, and place it where it’s most needed during a power outage. It’s currently plugged into the house and used as an uninterruptible power supply for my WiFi device.

Great size to keep my laptop PC online in the middle of no where. Not enough juice to run appliances but lights NP. It is a bit heavy, but the size is great for packing (like oversized ammo box). Seems to hold a great charge whereas I am pressed to draw it down below 40%. It charges very fast off household outlets. If they had a 1800 Watt battery in this size and weight, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Very happy with purchase.

Worthy successor to the 500x. only a little bit bigger but with lots more battery and more AC power. Love being able to connect with the Goal Zero app to see remaining battery and change settings. Runs the cooling jacket for my knee surgery for days, letting me go wherever I need, and with the port covers I can use outside confidently.

I had to use this during hurricane beryl in Houston. power was out for 48 hours (I was one of the lucky ones - some went for 6 days without power). For my use, it worked really well - kept my phone and tablet charged, as well as my rechargeable fans, lanterns and other devices. Very pleased.
