  • Hand held game system
Initially got for my 6 year old daughter since we aren’t to the Nintendo switch age yet. She will play at set down , but think that’s age. My husband and 9 year old son on the other hand LOVE this. All the old games growing up with and it’s awesome. I played myself . It’s worth the buy to change up the techy … PlayStation and switch !!! ... show more

  • Not worth it. Feels cheap and its probably not worth is price point at all.
So I got this as a white elephant gift it looked kind of cool. Yet, after I got it out of the box there is just a unit that supposed to look like a classic OG Gameboy. All that was in the box was the unit and a small pamphlet that was the instructions. No charge cable, no batteries, nothing else on the box. Okay no problem right? But it feels very light weight, the four buttons feel "off" and the directional pad feels loose. The on and off switch is a slider on one side and the volume control is an little wheel like the OG Gameboy. The screen is tiny and when playing a game there is distortion like the image is stretched to make all the image fit the screen. One of those things I chalk up to its a small LCD screen. However, it also has the OG color Gameboy problem that is if you aren't looking at the screen straight on or with in a narrow view angle, then you see nothing. As well too bright a light on it, it doesn't appear to have a polarized LCD screen; so the image gets washed out. Plug it into a micro-usb cord the sucker powers right up. Okay, no problemo. I flip it around and there is a huge "Warning sticker" over the battery compartment. Take the sticker off and the device takes AAA batteries. I don't have any right now, so I can't test battery life. As to the game selection. The version that I got had some DataEast Games like Burger Time and Bad Dudes which were cool, I couldn't tell if they were the emulations of the arcade versions or if they were emulations of the NES versions. The screen is just too small to tell. The rest of the games to make up the 200+ are all clones of various Asian market games or European games that themselves are clones of arcade and NES classics. A metric ton of card and board games like poker, black jack, backgammon, parchessi, etc. The whole thing feels like a DIY portable gaming kit thing that was slammed together by a small manufacturer. Not the top of the line parts, heck not even the middle of the road parts. More like whatever could be found for the cheapest shipping price. I want to like this, I really do; but it just feels way to costly for its price point being offered here or even in budget brick&mortar stores. It feels like its worth less than that and when it breaks so sad, so sorry. ... show more

  • Trash
I bought one locally; it’s going back. The screen is a decent size, but once you pick a game, the game only uses up about half of the screen. Super, super tiny. I couldn’t hardly see the tiny Tetris pieces to put them in place. Could have been so much better. 💩

  • This is horrible
Theres really only 3 good games on this ghosts n goblins and megaman2 and 3, on the box it implies it has over 260 licensed games but really most of them are horrible, this is like one of those chinese knock off famiclones you used to see at mall kiosks, also the d pad can mistakingly press up or down when your going left or right causing you to die, theres the excuse to return it, one of the licensed games freezes, theres another excuse but its really true some of the games have screen tearing/ sound effects playing at the wrong time, sprites flickering due to poor emulation it really is a cool idea, but the box saying "packed with over 260 classic retro games featuring popular Capcom and Data East titles" is just aggravating they are blantly tricking people ... show more
