It's a good device, works with the retron 3 hd, plays all of my games does not play game boy color but not blame Nintendo it was realse before the game boy color.

I am a retro collector and picked this up fairly cheap, it worked perfectly. I plays all gameboy cartridges on the Super Nintendo thus allowing you to play with the comfort of the Snes controller. You are able to choose different colors for the game itself, thus eliminating the sometimes hard to see black and white gameboy backgrounds. The ONLY dislike on this item, is that you are unable to switch to full screen mode, therefore you have to play the game in a small window on the television screen. For the price and the purpose of this purchase, I strongly recommend this product. Not to mention, these are getting hard to come by due to the its popularity and age. GREAT BUY...very satisfied.

I remember I had one of these growing up and had the urge to get one again for the retro system I just got I loved it as a kid, and it played everything perfectly... I remember you could customize the game border. while this serves no purpose, it's still pretty fun I haven't used this one yet, but it passed the shake test... no rattling of any lose parts... never fails! after skimming though the list of gameboy games on amazon and seeing how cheap they are (as long as you go used) this is an excellent add on to have

Received faster then expected for sure via USPS. Booted up first try no issues on that front. Loaded up my game and was met with an audio issue. Disassembled to clean the pins hoping that was the issue. Not sure if these are tested or cleaned before shipping but can tell it was at some point in it's life taken apart. I understand with the age it's expected but I don't think they are tested. If I'm wrong please let me know. So I have cleaned the cart and removed most corrosion on pins and boots up no issues did the same for my game. Still no audio. Super gameboy sounds work but Gameboy game sounds non existent. Hense why I wonder about the testing. Not sending back due to can't find one in my area and I wanna check my games and play them as I go through my restoring phase. Appreciate the seller for posting. So my next step will be checking capacitors and seeing if need replaced due to leakage or if it's the Gameboy slot itself. Tried multiple games and none have audio so not an isolated game issue. This comes with the territory with old used products. Will adjust rating based on what I found but still not convinced of testing.

The super gameboy is perfect for anyone who wants to play their gameboy games on their television sets. It plays regular Gameboy games and a few games even have a custom screen that displays during the game that can only be seen on the Super Gameboy. It does not play Gameboy Color games, but that is obvious since this came out before the Gameboy Color. One thing I would've liked is two player capabilities by using two remotes but that wouldn't be possible since playing 2 player Gameboy games requires 2 Gameboys. Each player would see their screen so it only makes sense why you can't do that with a Super Nintendo. Either way, the Super Gameboy makes playing a Gameboy game much easier. No more having to play in the light or worry about batteries.

You pop the Super Game Boy compatibility cartridge in and then your Game Boy game then flip the switch. It should be noted that this is for Game Boy games and not Game Boy Advanced or Game Boy Color (they are different handheld systems). However it does provide some added color functionality that the original Game Boy sorely lacked. You have the option to switch colors via button and some of it happens in game automatically (such as for different areas/towns in Pokemon). I'd imagine this cartridge is a blast if you have both a large collection of good Game Boy games and a functioning original SNES console. I'm satisfied with it personally.

i ordered this and waited for what seemed about a week. when i got home i opened it and it was filled with bugs, so my mom put it in a bag, and the next day, there were like 20 dead bugs in there. i would not reccomend buying this.
