This is about the best deal you can get on a betta tank. Don’t forget to buy a 5W submersible heater to go along with this - it has holes in the lid that will allow you to add the heater in the back (without messing with the lid’s ability to shut). The only drawback of this tank is that the light that it comes with is one color: blue. Would make a decent hospital tank, of course if you choose to use this with your betta long-term, I would suggest graduating to *AT LEAST* a 5 gallon tank in the future. The black background it comes with is optional; I used stained glass privacy film and it hides the cords nicely while not blacking out all background light. So if you have a coworker, friend, or family member who has their betta in an unfiltered bowl or vase with no heater, this is a wonderful alternative to suggest to them. The product itself is probably good, but I wouldn’t know because I couldn’t get it assembled. There are no instructions in the box - only a safety warning in four languages. Their official website had nothing more detailed. Tried YouTube but nothing available for 1.5 gallon assembly. The safety warning was so adamant about “not getting the appliance wet”. Unfortunately, the only logical way the product went together put the electrical cord under water. Searched all over online for clarification and found nothing. I decided not to risk it. Tank is cool, Archimedes 2 has prospered and claimed his new territory. Gary the snail was less amused to be moved into an already clean home, but he adjusted well. My only complaint is the light is blue. I thought it was more of a black light, but newp. I'll probably try to swap it out,but I'm happy with the product. Note- first tank I received was cracked, but they quickly replaced the item with a new one and saved me the energy of shipping the broken tank back. Thanks!! That was super convenient 😉 ... show more

I had a beta fish that would swim over and say hi to me. I wanted to give him a larger tank. My husband warned me that the filter suction needed to be blocked so he couldn’t swim under it but I didn’t do it, and Tutti died within a couple days. It’s a nice tank for the money just two suggestions, start with a heater and block access to the bottom of the filter. ... show more
